Lauren Fenmore Said Yes to Chaos

The audacity of Lauren Fenmore. This woman has been Nikki Newman’s friend for years. Her husband Michael Baldwin collects a paycheck from Victor Newman. And when Phyllis Summers offers her a seat at the table of an empire built on stolen Newman assets, Lauren Fenmore does not hesitate, does not flinch, does not even pretend to think about it for a respectable amount of time. She says “I’m in” and hugs the woman like they just won a couples cruise.

Michael tries to talk sense. He reminds her that Victor will come for them. That she will be in the crossfire. Lauren Fenmore tells him she is not afraid of Victor, she is not crying for him, and she absolutely does not need her husband’s permission. “Damn right I don’t.” Michael, bless his entire conflicted heart, says he has objections but will support his wife. That is a man watching his career walk into traffic and choosing to hold its hand on the way.

Lauren Fenmore just picked a side. And it is not the side that signs her husband’s checks.

Is Lauren Fenmore brave or completely out of her mind? Send your hottest takes and wildest theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com and we just might feature them on the site!

Billy Abbott Loses Chancellor Again Because of Course He Does

Billy Abbott walks into Phyllis’s office ready to collect Chancellor. He has a deal. He has a handshake. He has confidence, which in Billy’s case has historically been a warning sign.

Phyllis tells him she already gave Chancellor back to Victor. Last night. While Billy was presumably sleeping and dreaming about boardrooms. He trusted the wrong person at the wrong time and lost the same company he has now lost so many times it should come with a frequent loser punch card. “I lost itโ€ฆagain,” he admits, and honestly the man’s self awareness is almost more painful than the loss itself.

Sally Spectra tells him to touch grass and visit his mother. That is not a metaphor. She literally tells him to go see Jill. Mend the rift. Find a new path. Billy thanks her for loving him, which is sweet but also something a man says right before he does not take any of the advice.

Nick Newman and Adam Newman Land in Vegas

Nick Newman and Adam Newman check into a suite in Las Vegas to track down Riza Thompson, the card shark from Adam’s past who knew him when he was still going by Spider. Adam makes calls, leaves a message, and warns his brother that Riza is dangerous and this will only work if Nick lays low and lets him take the lead.

Nick says absolutely not. Adam tells him to cool his hothead tendencies. These two have been brothers for five minutes and they are already arguing about strategy in a hotel room like a buddy cop movie nobody asked for but everyone is watching.

Noah Newman Texts Matt Clark Back

Noah Newman gets another threatening text from Matt Clark and does what every person in a horror movie does right before things go terribly wrong: he texts back. He challenges Matt to show his face. Sharon Newman and Sienna Bacallare right there, talking about how Matt could be anywhere and they cannot let their guard down. Noah lets his guard down immediately. Somebody take this man’s phone.

Did Lauren Fenmore just make the power move of the year or the biggest mistake of her life? And will somebody please take Noah Newman’s phone away before he gets himself killed? Sound off below!

WATCH NOW: This is who we need back to take on Victor!

@soapoperamag Everyone wants revenge…and I'd love to see Crazy Aunt Jordan get hers! Is she the worst? YES! Do I love that about her? ALSO YES! I think it's time we bring her back to Genao City. Maybe this time, she can feed Victor Newman some brussel sprouts through those cellar bars. #YoungandtheRestless โ™ฌ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
