Nikki Newman Did Not Come to Society to Make Friends

Nikki Newman stalked Phyllis Summers to Society with one question burning a hole in her designer bag: what was she doing in Victor’s study, and why is she suddenly entertaining the idea of giving Chancellor back?

Phyllis tells her not to worry and suggests Victor has probably hidden gold under the floorboards. Nikki is not charmed. She demands a real explanation, and Phyllis claims she realized what she did was wrong, which satisfies absolutely no one at that table.

Then Diane Jenkins and Kyle Abbott storm in and the conversation stops being polite entirely. Diane informs Nikki that her husband is holding Jack Abbott against his will. Nikki is appalled. Billy Abbott strolls in asking if Phyllis has signed anything yet, and the answer is no, she has not, and the Abbotts are out of patience.

Diane begs Phyllis to do whatever it takes. Nikki orders her to make the deal. Then Nikki Newman goes home to find her husband, and The Young and the Restless is about to find out what Victor Newman looks like when he has nowhere left to hide.

Phyllis Summers Is Holding All the Cards and Playing Every Single One Wrong

Phyllis did not arrive at this moment by accident. She has Chancellor, Victor wants it back, and the Abbotts need her to hand it over to save Jack’s life. That is an enormous amount of leverage for one woman to be sitting on, and Phyllis is spending it on deflection and delays.

Victor called her to the ranch earlier, and she ran out of her own office so fast she left Lauren Fenmore standing there with unanswered questions about a business partnership. Now she is back at Society being cornered from every direction. Victor is demanding everything. The Abbotts are demanding she act. And Phyllis refuses to believe Victor would actually kill Jack, which is a stunning position for a woman who has known Victor Newman her entire adult life.

Diane makes it very clear that if anything happens to Jack, it is on Phyllis. That is not a threat. That is a fact, and somewhere underneath all that red hair and bravado, Phyllis knows it.

Jack Abbott Is on a Yacht and He Is Already Three Steps Ahead

Out on the water, Jack Abbott is doing what he does best: staying charming while quietly taking stock of every exitPatty Williams tells him she was contacted anonymously and paid well to keep an eye on him, and she genuinely believes this is her chance to make things right between them. Jack has a very long memory when it comes to Patty and sharp objects, and he is not relaxed.

When Patty wants a kiss in exchange for letting him scout the yacht, Jack agrees. She means every second of it. He is already looking around the room while she is still in the moment, piecing together who arranged this. Whoever it is stocked his preferred whiskey, which narrows the suspect list down to exactly one person. It has Victor Newman written all over it.

Adam Newman Knows a Name and It Could Break Everything Open

Sharon Newman and Nick Newman need help tracking down Matt Clark, and they go to Adam Newman to get it. The name Reza has come up, a Vegas contact tied to Matt’s drug operation, and the moment Adam hears it he goes very still. That name belongs to a chapter of his life he sealed shut, and his memories from that time are hazy enough to make him nervous about pulling on this thread.

He wants to help. Nick does not want to push his brother into painful territory. But Chelsea Lawson watches Adam stare out the window and knows he is already carrying it, already turning it over, already deciding. If the Reza he knew is the same woman connected to Matt Clark, this could either break the case wide open or destroy everything they have all worked so hard to rebuild.

Is Phyllis Summers about to make the biggest mistake of her life, or is she the only one in Genoa City actually thinking straight? Tell us below!
