Y&R Speculation: The Future of Cassidy 1st & Girl Power in Genoa City

Phyllis is between a rock & a hard place. The rock’s name is Nick Newman & the hard place’s name is Cane Ashby. Will Phyllis really betray Nick Newman, who is often her rock, to take over Genoa City with Cane Ashby? Or, will she find middle ground with her new gal pal Sharon Newman at Cassidy 1st on Young & the Restless?

Cane Takes Over Big Names on Big Buildings in GC

…but guess who doesn’t have a big building with a big name on it… The answer is Sharon Case (Sharon Newman), maiden name Sharon Collins, on Young & the Restless. As far as soap opera fans know, Sharon’s company, Cassidy 1st, does not have an office. Every time Sharon is doing Cassidy 1st business, she’s either at her coffee house, Crimson Lights, or on her aged & dingy couch in her living room. Sharon’s daughter Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) claims to go to the office, but as of late, it seems she only travels for Cassidy 1st & gets into trouble.

Without a big building & a big last name on it, Cassidy 1st is not on Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) radar to take over in Genoa City. By chance, can Cassidy 1st be a safe space for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)?

Phyllis Summers’ Open Corner in Genoa City

Phyllis Summers needs anyone in her corner she can find as her corner of Genoa City continues to be almost empty. Her supposed BFFs, Michael Baldwin & Lauren Fenmore (Christian LeBlanc & Tracey Bergman), are on a break from her despite also being stuck in France on the same trip as Phyllis with Cane Ashby & his maze. Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is on the fence at best with her friendship with Phyllis. Amanda is stuck in France as well & will need someone in her corner in Genoa City as well, so that’s how she is tolerating Phyllis for now.

Ultimately, Phyllis needs her daughter Summer Newman’s father, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), in her corner. Nick is one of Sharon’s rocks, also. Why not put both of these Nick-Newman-Baby-Mommas in an office, even if it is make-believe for both of these women’s salvation?

Mariah & Tessa’s Demise & Mariah’s Take 2 Apartment

Mariah Copeland did something bad on company time & now she’s pushed her wife, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), away, along with their daughter Aria. As far as Young & the Restless fans know, Crimson Lights & the apartment above, which Sharon Newman owns, has not been bought up yet by Cane Ashby. Mariah has most likely been staying at the GCAC, but that whole place is about to change after Cane purchased it when many of its guests have been on his train in France. Mariah needs a safe place to live. Where better than the apartment above Crimson Lights?

The question is, will Sharon ask her new BFF to work with her at Cassidy 1st to keep Nick Newman as both of their rocks? Or, will Phyllis lean over to her wild side again to side with Cane Ashby to start by running the GCAC & kicking out its most annoying of guests? Christine Blair/The Bug/Cricket (Lauralee Bell) better find a home fast with her new fiancé, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), just in case on Young & the Restless.
