EXCLUSIVE TUESDAY CANADIAN Y&R DAY-AHEAD: Cane Ashby Just Made Phyllis Summers an Offer That Could Destroy Billy Abbott

CANE ASHBY CALLS BILLY COLLATERAL DAMAGE AND PHYLLIS SUMMERS HAS TO CHOOSE

TL;DR: Cane Ashby offers Phyllis Summers her son’s forgiveness in exchange for betraying Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless, Sharon Newman interrogates Daniel Romalotti about Tessa Porter, and Tessa kisses Daniel right in front of Sienna Bacall.

Sharon Newman Knows Exactly What Is Going On

Sharon Newman runs into Daniel Romalotti at Crimson Lights and it starts innocently enough. They talk about Mariah Copeland and how much she is still struggling. Sharon thinks her daughter needs Tessa Porter and their child to heal. Daniel knows what depression looks like up close, so he gets it.

But Sharon is not just making conversation. She is a mother with eyes in the back of her head and she wants to know exactly what is going on between Daniel and her daughter’s wife. She asks him point blank if there is something more than friendship between them. Daniel squirms. He says they both fought against it becoming anything more. Sharon can understand Tessa filing for divorce and turning to someone. She still wants to believe her daughter’s marriage has a chance though, and she is not above applying a little pressure to make that happen.

Daniel does not want to be in the middle of any of this and says so. He accuses Sharon of trying to get him to back off. Then he leaves.

Tessa Porter Tells Sienna It Is Over

Tessa runs into Sienna Bacall at the Chancellor Park Cafe and the two of them have the kind of honest conversation that Genoa City desperately needs more of. Sienna is surprised to be back. She left Los Angeles because she realized she was not going to be able to move on from Matt there. Tessa is glad Noah found her.

Then Sienna asks about Mariah. And Tessa does not sugarcoat a single word of it.

She and Mariah and Aria were happy once. But too much has changed. She was pushed away. She cannot stay in limbo forever. She does not think they will ever be happy again and she is done pretending otherwise.

This is not a woman venting frustration. This is a woman who has made a decision.

Noah Newman Worries With His Mom and Daniel Shows Up at the Worst Possible Moment

Noah Newman meets Sharon at Crimson Lights after Daniel leaves. They worry together about not hearing from Nick Newman all day and agree they need to trust that he knows what he is doing. Sharon tells her son to do nothing and wait.

Meanwhile Daniel shows up at the Chancellor Park Cafe right as Tessa and Sienna are deep in conversation. Sienna gets introduced to him and is surprised to hear he is related to Noah. They talk about music and Sienna mentions she and Noah are planning to open another Shadow Room in Genoa City. Daniel jokes she will have to hire Tessa for it. Sienna watches the two of them together and it is very obvious to her what she is looking at.

Claire Newman and Audra Charles Call a Truce Nobody Actually Believes

Claire Newman walks into Society and is startled to find Audra Charles already there. Audra declares the feud between them so last year. Claire is not buying it for a second and is certain Audra is trying to throw her off her game.

They go back and forth. Audra wants neutrality. Claire says she no longer cares about what happened in Los Angeles and will not be pursuing it. They agree to a truce and wish each other luck. Neither of them means a single word of it.

Audra asks if Claire is not seeing Holden. Claire says he has been lying to her and she is moving on. Audra is not exactly devastated by this information. Then Kyle Abbott arrives and Claire excuses herself to sit with him. Holden Novak shows up shortly after and Audra immediately informs him that Claire is back with Kyle. He is not surprised. Audra notices she does not like seeing them together and Holden suggests they stop pretending and just be honest about what they both want.

Cane Ashby Makes Phyllis Summers an Offer She Cannot Refuse

This is the one that is going to keep Genoa City up at night.

Cane Ashby stops by the Newman office and reminds Phyllis Summers he needs her help. She is not convinced Lily or the kids are in any danger and she cannot be fooled. He wants to move in stages and hand Chancellor back to the Newmans. Phyllis does not think Victor Newman will go for it. Cane tells her they can do this and then go back on the deal later. She reminds him her contract with Billy Abbott is not finished. Doing this would destroy him.

Cane’s response? Billy is collateral damage.

He tells Phyllis she only has her position because of him and that she betrayed him. She is unimpressed. He offers undying gratitude. Not good enough. Then he leans in with the one thing Phyllis Summers has never been able to buy, steal, or scheme her way into: he offers to talk to her son for her. He will get Daniel to forgive her.

Phyllis agrees to a deal if Cane can actually deliver.

Cane gets on a train and calls Daniel. He tells him he has an idea to turn things around. Then he calls Phyllis and tells her to set the deal in motion. He is confident he can bring Daniel around.

And Then Tessa Kisses Daniel

Back in the park, Daniel finds Tessa and asks how she is holding up. She admits she is not. They make plans to meet later. And then she kisses him.

Daniel leaves. Sienna comes out from where she was watching and tells Tessa the obvious: Daniel has fallen for her.
