SHARON NEWMAN IS SO FOCUSED ON NOAH’S DRAMA THAT SHE’S IGNORING MARIAH’S BREAKDOWN

TL;DR: Sharon Newman has been running around LA trying to save Noah from a situation he created by sleeping with a married woman. Meanwhile, Mariah checked herself out of the clinic, is alone in a hotel room hallucinating Ian Ward, and nobody in her family seems to notice or care. Sharon needs a wake-up call on Young and the Restless.

Noah Made His Bed

Let’s be very clear about something: Noah Newman is a grown man who chose to have an affair with a married woman. He knew Sienna was married. He pursued her anyway. The fact that her husband turned out to be the psychopath Matt Clark is terrible luck, but the situation Noah finds himself in started with his own choices.

And yet Sharon Newman has made rescuing Noah her entire personality. She flew to LA. She’s been staking out clubs. She’s confronting Matt Clark directly. She told Noah that Nick “will not stop” until they find Sienna. The entire Newman family has mobilized to clean up Noah’s mess.

Meanwhile, where is that energy for Mariah?

Mariah Is in Serious Trouble

While Sharon Newman has been playing detective in LA and fixing all Noah’s messes after bringing his very married girlfriend back to Genoa City, Mariah checked herself out of the Boston clinic without telling anyone. She sent Tessa a text saying she left, and then she traveled south, getting further and further away from her family. Tessa tracked her on a family app and watched helplessly as Mariah ran.

But here’s what’s really terrifying: Mariah is now sitting alone in a hotel room, not sleeping, talking to family photos, and hallucinating Ian Ward.

Yes. IAN WARD. The cult leader who kidnapped her. The man who held her captive. He’s appearing in her head, telling her she needs to “make the separation permanent” and “fulfill her destiny.” He told her to look in the mirror and face what she’s done. He quoted scripture at her. And when she ripped up her family photo, he told her he was “so proud.”

Mariah called him Lucifer. And then she agreed that “if she just believes nothing can go wrong, then nothing will.”

This is a mental health emergency.

Sharon Newman Doesn’t Even Know

Here’s the part that should infuriate every viewer: does Sharon even know Mariah left the clinic? Has anyone told her that her daughter is spiraling?

Sharon has been so consumed with Noah’s drama that she seems completely unaware that Mariah is in crisis. She’s focused on Sienna, on Matt Clark, on stakeouts and rescue missions. She’s told Noah repeatedly that she’ll protect him, that nobody messes with her family.

But Mariah IS her family. And Mariah is alone, unmedicated, sleep-deprived, and seeing visions of her former captor telling her to let go of her wife and child permanently.

Which Newman child actually needs saving right now? I think we Young and the Restless viewers clearly know where Sharon Newman should be right now!

Noah Will Survive His Bad Choices

Noah has the entire Newman army behind him. Victor deployed illegal AI software to threaten Matt Clark’s business. Nick is ready to kill Matt with his own hands. Adam showed up to offer help. Security teams are in place. Noah has a girlfriend who loves him, parents who will burn down the world for him, and a billionaire grandfather funding the rescue operation.

Noah is going to be fine.

Mariah has Tessa, who she’s pushed away. She has Aria, who she’s abandoned. And she has Ian Ward whispering in her ear that the kindest thing she can do is disappear from their lives forever.

The contrast is staggering.

Sharon Should Know Better

Of all people, Sharon should understand mental health crises. She’s lived through her own. She knows what it looks like when someone is spiraling, when the voices get loud, when isolation feels like the only option.

And yet she’s completely missing the signs with her own daughter. She’s so focused on the loud, dramatic, action-movie crisis that Noah created that she’s ignoring the quiet, devastating one happening to Mariah.

Ian Ward told Mariah that “the time is now.” He told her to fulfill her destiny. He told her that letting go of her family permanently is “the right thing.”

If Sharon doesn’t wake up soon, she might lose the child who actually needed her while she was busy saving the one who got himself into trouble.

Someone Needs to Sound the Alarm

Tessa knows Mariah left the clinic. Tessa knows Mariah is running. But Tessa is also filing for divorce and moving on with Daniel because Mariah pushed her away so completely.

Who is going to tell Sharon that while she’s been hunting Matt Clark, her daughter has been losing her grip on reality? Who is going to make Sharon see that Mariah’s silence isn’t her “getting better” but her getting worse?

Noah made choices that put him in danger. Mariah is sick and alone and hearing voices that want her to give up.

Sharon Newman needs to get her priorities straight before it’s too late.
