YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS WEEKLY SPOILERS: NICK NEWMAN’S PLAN FOR MATT CLARK TAKES A DANGEROUS TURN

TL;DR: Nick Newman finally finds himself in the driver’s seat on Young and the Restless this week, but his plan for Matt Clark quickly turns dangerous. Meanwhile, Victor sends an ominous message, Jack gets unexpected help, and Phyllis encourages Cane to embrace his dark side!

Monday, January 5

The week kicks off with Victor Newman sending an ominous message, and when the Mustache gets cryptic, everyone in Genoa City should probably start looking over their shoulder. Whatever Victor is plotting, it’s clearly meant to unsettle someone, and honestly? It’s working on us already!

Noah shares his fears for Sienna with Sharon, and it’s sweet to see this mother-son duo connecting over matters of the heart. Noah has been through a lot romantically, so Sharon is exactly the person to help him process his concerns. And here’s the big one: Nick Newman at last finds himself in the driver’s seat. After everything Nick has been dealing with regarding Matt Clark, it’s about time he gets to call some shots!

Tuesday, January 6

Nick Newman’s plan for Matt Clark takes a dangerous turn, and we’re already gripping our seats! Matt Clark has been causing chaos since he rolled into town, and Nick is clearly done playing defense. But “dangerous” is never a word you want attached to a Newman plan, so things could go sideways fast.

Nikki and Victor receive unsettling news, proving that even the most powerful couple in Genoa City isn’t immune to life’s curveballs. And Phyllis has some choice words about Daniel and Tessa’s romance, because of course she does! Phyllis Summers having opinions about her son’s love life? Shocking absolutely no one.

Lily sends mixed signals Cane’s way, and the Lily and Cane saga continues to keep us guessing! These two have such a complicated history, and watching them navigate their current situation is equal parts frustrating and fascinating.

Nikki and Michael conspire to help Jack, which is a team-up we didn’t know we needed. When Nikki Newman and Michael Baldwin put their heads together for a common cause, good things happen. Diane gets testy about her husband’s loyalty to his former wife, and honestly, can you blame her? The Jack and Nikki history runs deep, and Diane is clearly feeling some type of way about it.

Thursday, January 8

Kyle helps his dad gain leverage against Victor, and we love seeing the Abbott men working together! The Abbott vs. Newman rivalry is legendary, and having Kyle in Jack’s corner adds some serious firepower to Team Abbott.

Cane and Phyllis are switching gears again, and keeping up with these two is practically a full-time job at this point. Nick Newman is likely still dealing with the fallout from his dangerous plan, so tensions remain high across Genoa City. Audra and Holden wipe the slate clean and agree to a fresh start, which is genuinely lovely to see. Sometimes you just need to let go of the baggage and move forward!

Friday, January 9

Phyllis encourages Cane to tap into his dark side, and this is such a Phyllis Summers move. She’s never been one to play it safe, and apparently she thinks Cane could use a little edge. Whether this is good advice or a recipe for disaster remains to be seen!

It’s another setback for Nick Newman to end the week, and our hearts go out to him. After finally getting into the driver’s seat, hitting a roadblock this quickly has to sting. And Jack makes Victor a shocking offer, which could change the entire landscape of the Abbott-Newman rivalry. What could Jack possibly offer that would surprise Victor Newman?

What do you think Jack’s offer to Victor could be? Drop your guesses in the comments below!
