Victor Newman Says “Shiver Me Timbers” Like a Man Who Fears Nothing
Victor Newman finds Cane Ashby at Society and does what Victor Newman does best: he twists the knife and enjoys it. He goads him about Lily Winters. He tells him to go back to his house in France. He chuckles. He points out that Cane has lost everything.
Cane tells him he has never seen the kind of chaos he will bring. He says it will only take one match to burn it all down.
Victor Newman, billionaire, patriarch, empire destroyer, kidnapper of Jack Abbott, looks this man in the eye and says “shiver me timbers.”
SHIVER. ME. TIMBERS. Like a pirate at a children’s birthday party. Like a man so unbothered by the threat in front of him that he decided to respond in a language from the 1700s. Cane Ashby just promised to burn everything down and Victor Newman responded like he was reviewing a community theater performance. After Cane storms out, Victor growls that he is going to make his life hell. The man went from a pirate joke to a death threat in under ten seconds. That is range.

Lily Winters Gets Dragged by Her Own Family
Lily comes home to her brother Devon Winters and her cousin Nate Hastings expecting a warm welcome. She does not get one. She admits she was never kidnapped. She admits she did it to teach Cane a lesson. She admits Victor promised her Chancellor in return.
Devon tells her what she did is no better than anything Cane has done. He reminds her that while she was playing fake kidnapping victim, his son was going through a real crisis. Nate is hurt. Devon and Nate both tell her to walk away from Victor and Chancellor. Lily makes excuses. She says things are different this time. Devon hits her with the sarcasm she deserves.
Then she admits Cane wants nothing to do with her. Devon and Nate agree that is probably for the best. When your own family thinks the man you punished was right to walk away from you, the lesson you were trying to teach might have landed on the wrong person.
Sienna Bacall Realizes Matt Clark May Have Set a Trap
Sienna Bacall shows Noah Newman the latest text from Matt Clark. She does not know how he got her new number. And then she says the thing that should have occurred to everyone weeks ago: what if Matt lured Nick Newman to Vegas on purpose so they would all be more vulnerable at home?
That is the kind of realization that makes you set your coffee down and stare at the wall. Nick is in Vegas spiraling. Adam is in Vegas playing poker. And Matt Clark may have sent them there deliberately so he could operate freely in Genoa City. Somebody call Sharon Newman.
Victoria Newman Defends Daddy Again
Victoria Newman meets with Nikki Newman and does the one thing she is incapable of not doing: she defends her father. Nikki tells her what Victor did to Jack Abbott was unconscionable. Victoria says it is not daddy’s fault. Nikki is baffled. Victoria keeps repeating it. This woman would defend Victor Newman if he set fire to the GCAC with everyone inside and then claim the building was asking for it.
Meanwhile Victor tells Victoria that Nikki leaving might be irreparable. Unless she comes to her senses. The man threw his wife out of her own birthday present and thinks SHE is the unreasonable one. That is a level of audacity that even Genoa City cannot top.
Did Devon and Nate go too hard on Lily Winters or did she need every single word? And is Sienna Bacall right that Matt Clark set a trap? Sound off below!
