Victor Newman Handed Nikki an Impossible Choice and Her Body Picked First

On Monday, Nikki Newman stood in her own home and asked her husband what they could do to get past everything. Victor Newman looked her in the eye and gave her an ultimatum that has been brewing for months. Give up her friendship with Jack Abbott. “It’s either him or me,” Victor said, and walked out like he had not detonated half their marriage on the way to the door. Reader, Eric Braeden read that line like the man was reading a will. We are not OKAY.

Nikki stood there in disbelief. Then the headache she has been nursing for two episodes came BACK with a vengeance. She reached for the painkiller bottle on the table. She nearly fell over taking the pill. Reader, Y&R has been planting this migraine for THREE episodes and Monday is the day they water it. Nikki is not having a regular headache. Nikki is having a STORYLINE. Whatever Victor Newman thought he was getting with that ultimatum, the answer is not coming from her mouth. It’s coming from her body.

Victor Newman announced he would personally oversee Nick’s recovery, which sounds menacing because everything Victor Newman says sounds menacing.

Matt Walked Into a Replica Nightclub and the Flashes Started

Sienna Clark walked into the Genoa City Shadow Room ahead of Matt Clark and admitted to Noah that the place is UNNERVING. Noah explained he wants to erase their bad memories of the LA version AND trigger Matt’s memories at the same time. Sienna told him this is a BIG risk. Reader, Y&R built an entire nightclub set as a memory-jogger and we are EATING the absurdity.

Victor THREATENING him. Reader, the LA Shadow Room is now a Pavlovian dog whistle and Y&R is RINGING THE BELL.

Billy Asks Jack to Be His Best Man and Drops a Patty Bomb

Earlier at Society, Billy Abbott and Sally Spectra were planning the wedding on an app like a normal engaged couple, comparing seating charts and honeymoon options. Sally admitted she has not designed her DRESS yet. Billy promised she will be the most stunning bride GC has ever seen. Jack joined them. Billy apologized for the wedding talk. Jack said it gives him HOPE.

Sally took off. Billy told Jack how much he loves Sally. Jack told him to listen to his heart. Then Billy dropped a bomb. Patty Williams had told him she was going to “deal with” Diane. Jack already hired a PI. Reader. PATTY SAID SHE WAS GOING TO DEAL WITH HER. Y&R, the disappearance of Diane Jenkins is officially a CRIME and we are sweating. Billy then asked Jack to be his BEST MAN. Jack said yes. The brothers hugged at the window. Reader, Y&R balanced wedding joy and missing-person dread in ONE scene and the genre flexibility is INTOXICATING.

Sally and Audra Talk About the Other Shoe at the Chancellor Park Café

Across town, Sally joined Audra at the Chancellor Park Café and admitted what was wrong. Everything is going TOO WELL. She is waiting for the OTHER SHOE to drop. Audra read her like a romance novel. She told Sally her insecurities are firing on all cylinders, but the people you choose are what counts. Sally said choosing Billy and Audra was the right move.

Audra reminded her she set out to design a life and she IS LIVING IT. She told Sally to own everything good happening to her and not spiral about how it might end. They focused on the wedding dress. Audra was impressed by Sally’s designs and flower choices. Audra ended the scene telling Sally she is BOLD and Billy better know how lucky he is. Reader, Sally Spectra finally has a friend who is not trying to steal her boyfriend and we are CRYING good tears.
