THESE WEEKLY YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS SPOILERS SHOW VICTOR NEWMAN SCHEMING TO DESTROY MATT CLARK

TL;DR: Victor Newman and Nick team up to take down Matt Clark on Young and the Restless this week, while Tessa explores her feelings for Daniel, Mariah is haunted by Ian Ward, and Phyllis gives Jack an unexpected gift.

Monday, December 29

The week kicks off with Nick calling Matt Clark’s bluff on Young and the Restless. After everything Matt Clark has put the Newman family through, including his reign of terror involving Noah and the fentanyl trafficking nightmare, Nick is clearly done playing games with this psychopath. Whatever bluff Matt Clark was trying to pull, Nick isn’t buying it for a single second.

Phyllis gives Jack an unexpected gift, which should raise some eyebrows considering their complicated history and Phyllis’s recent scheming activities. Is this a genuine gesture of goodwill, or is Red up to something that will blow up in everyone’s faces? With Phyllis, you truly never know what her endgame might be!

Noah worries about Sienna’s safety on Y&R. Given that Sienna was married to Matt Clark and has been caught in the crossfire of his dangerous activities, Noah’s concerns are absolutely valid. The young Newman has been through hell and back because of his involvement with Sienna, and protecting her has become his top priority despite the risks to himself.

Victor Newman rewards Michael’s loyalty, proving once again that the Mustache takes care of those who stand by him. Michael has been instrumental in helping Victor navigate the Matt Clark situation and various other Newman family crises, so this reward is well deserved. When Victor Newman shows appreciation, it’s usually pretty spectacular.

Nikki shares a secret with Jack on Young and the Restless, continuing their deep friendship that has always driven Victor absolutely crazy. These two have a bond that transcends decades, and whatever secret Nikki is revealing must be significant enough that she trusts Jack over anyone else in her orbit.

Claire stands by her actions, showing the Newman spine that she’s clearly inherited from her family. Whatever decisions Claire has made recently, she’s not backing down or apologizing for them. This young woman has come a long way since her traumatic introduction to Genoa City!

Cane makes another bold move in hopes of impressing Lily on Y&R. Despite all the drama surrounding his stolen AI software and his numerous enemies in Genoa City, Cane remains laser focused on winning back the woman he loves. Whether Lily will be swayed by his latest grand gesture remains to be seen, but Cane clearly isn’t giving up without a fight.

Adam and Sally discuss their complicated past, which could fill several volumes if anyone bothered to write it all down. These two have been through so much together, from passionate romance to heartbreaking loss, and their connection remains undeniable despite everything that has happened between them.

Tessa explores her feelings for Daniel, and this development is sure to send shockwaves through Genoa City. With Mariah refusing to see her or take her calls during treatment, Tessa has been leaning heavily on Daniel for emotional support. But are these feelings just a result of loneliness and vulnerability, or is something deeper developing between them?

On New Year’s Day, the show is going to party like it’s 1998 as it repeats a classic episode from that year! Fans will be treated to the iconic moment when Jill interrupted Katherine Chancellor’s bash with a shocking announcement. This throwback episode is perfect for longtime viewers who remember the legendary feud between these two formidable women, and newer fans will get to see what made their rivalry so epic!

Friday, January 2

Victor Newman and Nick plot against Matt Clark on Young and the Restless, and this father-son team is absolutely deadly when they unite against a common enemy. Matt Clark has terrorized their family for far too long, and the Newman men are clearly done waiting for the justice system to handle things. Whatever scheme they’re cooking up, Matt Clark should be very, very afraid.

Daniel makes a promise to Tessa that could change everything between them. With their emotional connection growing stronger by the day, Daniel is clearly stepping up in a major way. What exactly is he promising her, and how will this impact his friendship with Mariah when she eventually returns?

Mariah is haunted by Ian Ward in a deeply unsettling turn of events. Ian Ward has been one of Genoa City’s most terrifying villains, and whatever form his haunting takes is sure to leave fans on the edge of their seats. Is Ian Ward physically back to torment Mariah, or is this a psychological manifestation of her trauma? Either way, this storyline promises to be absolutely chilling!
