Victor Newman Brings Out the Big Guns for Christmas

Despite their ongoing war over the Jack Abbott vendetta, Victor Newman and Nikki are calling a temporary truce for Christmas Eve at the ranch. And let us tell you, The Mustache is pulling out ALL the stops to get back into his wife’s good graces!

Nikki walks into the decorated living room and gets hit with a wave of nostalgia, thinking back to their very first Christmas in this home. Victor told her she deserved this and much more, and honestly? The man wasn’t wrong. When Victor walks in surprised she came home, Nikki reminds him it’s Christmas Eve. Where ELSE would she be?

Look, they’re still furious with each other. Nikki has made it crystal clear that what Victor is doing to Jack is NOT alright, and she’s not backing down. But it’s the holidays, and she wants to spend them with family. So Victor reaches under the tree and pulls out a gift that will absolutely knock your socks off!

What do you think of Victor’s Christmas gift game? Write to the editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com with your thoughts on whether The Mustache can buy his way back into Nikki’s heart!

The Mustache Goes Full Romantic on Young and the Restless

Victor Newman presents Nikki with a ruby and diamond necklace that belonged to Maria Theresa, the only female monarch in the Hapsburg empire and mother of Marie Antoinette! The woman had FIFTEEN children and ruled an empire, so yeah, Victor knows how to pick meaningful jewelry!

The necklace comes with a note from Maria Theresa’s letters that reads about being devoted to her people and never sparing herself for their welfare. Nikki points out it sounds like something Victor could have written, and honestly? She’s not wrong!

But here’s where it gets EMOTIONAL. Victor tears up talking about how his father left his mother, who had to put him in an orphanage at age seven because she couldn’t afford to feed him. He grew up with nothing, and now look at the life they’ve built together with their beautiful children, grandchildren, and even a great-grandchild!

Nikki has her own gift for Victor, a personal journal that belonged to Hannah Arendt, one of the most important German philosophers. She tells him she starts thinking about his next Christmas gift on December 26th because she has to work hard to keep up with him. They share a kiss and wish each other Merry Christmas, and Young and the Restlessfans everywhere are SOBBING!

Billy Abbott Gets a Reality Check He Didn’t Ask For

Over at Billy and Sally’s apartment, the holiday vibes are strong! Victoria brings Katie and Johnny over with the tiniest, saddest little Christmas tree that Charlie Brown would have picked. Billy forgot decorations, so Sally saves the day with homemade popcorn garlands!

But while everyone’s having fun, Victoria and Sally have a heart to heart on the sofa. Victoria is worried Billy is selling a “new and improved” outlook to everyone, including himself. Sally admits she worries about the same thing. The hurt from Jill runs deep, and that hatred for Victor is simmering just beneath the surface.

Sally opens up about her father, who was also a gambler and doubled down when he got in trouble. She picked her dad off the floor more times than she could count. Then she drops a BOMB: She once saw a kid-size sewing machine in a commercial that she desperately wanted. Her father swore he’d buy it, but it wasn’t there on Christmas morning, and neither was he!

Unknown to Sally, Billy is eavesdropping in the hallway and hears EVERYTHING. Is Sally trying to love Billy, or save him? That’s the question Victoria asks, and honestly, we need to know too!

Jack Abbott and Diane Jenkins Have Their Own Romantic Evening

The Abbott mansion is getting cozy as Jack and Diane exchange gifts despite promising not to buy anything! Diane gives Jack a first edition Max Factor autobiography, which reminds her of John Abbott’s devotion to family. Jack gives Diane a necklace that belonged to Coco Chanel herself!

These two are living their best “mature love” life while Victor plots their destruction. Merry Christmas indeed on Y&R!

Sound off in the comments! Are you crying over Victor and Nikki’s Christmas moment, or are you more invested in Billy and Sally’s drama?
