The Memorial Hospital Mystery

Has anyone seen Memorial Hospital in Genoa City on Young & the Restless? Nikki Newman, Connor Newman, & Ashley Abbott haven’t either. How is the Genoa City skyline jam-packed with skyscrapers full of C-suites, yet proper medical care cannot happen now in this city on Y&R? Ever since Elena Dawson left town, Genoa City has been out-patient only. Why?

Nikki Newman’s Mysterious Record Time In & Out of In-patient Care

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was in & out of in-patient care for her alcoholism reboot in less time than it takes for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to change jobs. How? Nikki Newman didn’t fall off the wagon, she was kicked off it by her new granddaughter Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) & Claire’s Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Claire & Aunt Jordan literally had vodka IV’d into her full-time for days. How is it that Nikki Newman was in & out of in-patient care in record time?

Medical care has been mysterious in Genoa City on Y&R since Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) left Memorial Hospital & GC without explanation. It’s been rumored but not heavily supported that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orchestrated Dr. Elena Dawson to leave town with his son Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) & Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby Ava Hope to take care of her, meaning that Adam & Sally did not lose their baby girl & have no idea. It’s an awful conjecture, but in light of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) & Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) not actually losing their baby girl Eve all of those years ago & that they now have their grown daughter Claire Grace who they named Eve & were told that they buried, the Elena leaving GC with Ava Hope is not far fetched at all.

So, who let Nikki Newman out of in-patient care? Who signed off? Victor Newman wasn’t notified she was returning home to the Newman Ranch. She just popped in as she arrived back home from an errand. Now her outpatient care has wrapped up & she will be back in business but this time as CEO of Chancellor Industries & hopes to have Claire by her side who kicked her off the wagon. Let’s see how long Nikki Newman keeps her post back on the wagon & how her incoming post as Chancellor Industries works out.

The Baltimore OCD Clinic’s OCD About Adam & Chelsea

Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) was finally released from the creepy clinic in Baltimore & is now home in Genoa City living with his mother Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). As Connor has been settling back into GC he’s noticed that his parents are getting along better than before he was admitted to the creepy clinic. His mother & his father Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are in fact getting along better now. Also, there was one night in Baltimore that they got along REALLY well & they can’t stop talking about it. Connor Newman has no idea about “that one night,” but he is enjoying family time again.

So, how is it that almost immediately after Adam & Chelsea slept together that one night in Baltimore both cheating on their lovers back in Genoa City, Connor was immediately eligible to be released from the creepy clinic & signed up for outpatient care in Genoa City? Young & the Restless fans have to wonder if Chelsea’s mother in Minnesota, Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) had something to do with this clinic & the clinic’s treatment “& care” of Connor Newman.

Coming Soon on Y&R: Ashley Abbott’s Outpatient Care

Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) new love interest Dr. Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) has advised the Abbott family since he arrived in Genoa City that Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) inpatient care in the clinic she’s in just outside of Paris is going well & Ashley is becoming stronger each day. In fact, as per Alan, Ashley will be able to return to Genoa City this fall for outpatient treatment.

There is so much to unpack coming up on Young & the Restless. Speaking of Alan, is Alan even Alan? Or, is he really his psychotic identical brother Martin who Alan never ever brought up to Ashley Abbott until he supposedly died suddenly?

Unanswered Questions

Seriously, where is Dr. Elena Dawson & what is the actual status of Memorial Hospital in Genoa City? Young & the Restless fans along with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) who is now being haunted by Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) who she recently killed would like to know.
