Y&R Recap March 8th: Victor and Adam Make a Deal, Victoria Plots Against Adam
On Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Adam Newman visits the Newman Ranch and accepts Victor’s offer to run McCall Unlimited, but only if he can run the company independently and without interference from Victoria. Victor agrees and urges Adam to leave Victoria to him, but Adam wonders if Victoria is on board with this deal. Later, Victoria visits Devon Hamilton without an appointment and discusses Tucker McCall’s potential sale of his company. Devon is hesitant to share information with Victoria as he doesn’t trust her. Victoria believes that she’s better equipped to handle this purchase and that it would be better for everyone if Devon lets her take the lead.
Meanwhile, Ashley remains cagey as Abby grills her about Tucker’s motives and whether he’s acting in Devon’s best interest. Tucker arrives and speaks with Ashley privately, suggesting that they make the sale contingent on charitable donations to causes that Ashley supports. Ashley encourages Tucker to focus on Devon and challenges him to try harder to make the deal happen. Tucker questions whether he has a future with Ashley and she responds by kissing him passionately. However, Ashley wants to ensure that Tucker is sincere about making amends with Devon and becoming a better man.
Later, Devon reviews the financials for McCall Unlimited with Abby and reveals that Victoria made an initial deal with Newman Enterprises, which Tucker killed. Devon texts Tucker and asks to talk, and Tucker believes that this is the universe working in his favor. At Newman Media, Nate confides in Daniel about his guilt over his family’s destruction. He wants Daniel’s help ending Devon and Lily’s lawsuit battle, but Daniel advises him that it could make things worse.
Victoria continues to battle with Adam and Victor over the sale of McCall Unlimited. Nate interrupts a meeting between Victoria and Victor, and she tells him that she always gets what she wants one way or another. Victoria insists that she has everything under control and that Nate should trust her. However, things may not go according to plan, and there could be bad news for Victoria if her plan backfires.
