Bill Hamilton shows up at Dani Dupree‘s door uninvited, gets let in anyway despite some choice commentary about Andre, and drops the bomb he’s apparently been sitting on alone: he thinks he’s dying. Dani, understandably rattled, listens as he lays out the tremors, the fixation on Hayley’s holistic tea-and-cardio regimen, the whole spiral. He refuses to let her call his daughters or Hayley, trusts only her with the truth, and reveals he’s taken out an insurance policy with Hayley as the beneficiary while the kids inherit the rest of his estate. Then his breathing goes, his eyes stay open but his mouth won’t work, and Dani, panicking, calls 911 while trying to convince herself it’s just low blood sugar.

By the time everyone regroups at the hospital, Bill’s awake and talking, but the drama hasn’t slowed down one bit. He doesn’t want Hayley seeing him like this, especially since she’s been “chummy with that Randy clown,” but he has zero problem with Dani witnessing his lowest moment, which Dani, fairly, finds a little insulting. He calls her his rock and gets her to agree to keep quiet, a request that sends Nicole Dupree Richardson spiraling with questions nobody will answer. Dani, meanwhile, starts wondering out loud if Hayley’s wellness routine is actually a slow-motion murder weapon, and accuses her outright: “You did this!” A truly stellar way to process a medical emergency.

Heather’s Quiet Uptown Takeover

In the back room at Uptown, Randy Parker and Joey Armstrong are still trying to process how Heather Armstrongmanaged to buy the casino out from under them, with Joey admitting he’d wanted to snag it as a surprise for Vanessa. Joey sends Randy off to track down the previous owner and confirm the deal’s actually ironclad, with a very clear warning not to come back without answers. Heather, for her part, spends the afternoon charming a free-drinks-happy bartender and getting cozy with her new property like she owns the place, which, as of today, she does.

Vanessa arrives to meet Joey and instead gets an invitation from Heather for a pre-Joey drink, plus a lot of vague deflection about whatever’s actually going on between Heather and Randy. When Joey finally shows up, he’s noticeably bitter, changes the subject fast when Vanessa asks about the “new management,” and pivots hard into asking after her kids, name-dropping how much Doug loved them. He also tells her flatly to keep her distance from his sister, a request Vanessa brushes off since she genuinely likes Heather and wants the two of them closer, not further apart. Later, at Orphie’s, Randy and Izaiah Hawthorne wait on takeout and talk through happier news, Randy convincing Deanna to go back to school, and a promise from Randy that he’ll always have Izaiah’s back the way Izaiah had his over Doug.

Hayley Flirts, Andre Steps In

At the Club, Hayley Lawson tells Caroline Lee she’s committing to being the wife Bill deserves, then immediately wanders over to Izaiah at the bar and starts flirting, fully aware he’s with Eva. He reminds her of exactly that and makes his exit, but not before Andre Richardson swoops in to run interference, needling Izaiah about whether Bill would approve of his wife’s little bar moment. Andre doesn’t hold back with Hayley either, pointing out she’s been too busy blowing off Bill’s calls all week to notice what’s actually going on with her own marriage, and warns Caroline that Bill’s going to have to lie in the bed he made.

Near the elevator, Izaiah calls Eva Thomas to let her know he’s got “the cornbread,” jokes with Andre about the earlier tension, and asks what his actual beef with Hayley is, learning it comes down to both of them being second spouses navigating the same messy territory. The second Izaiah’s gone, Andre gets a text from an unknown number, revealed to be Heather, welcoming him home like she never left.

Heather and Andre’s Unfinished History

Later, from her hotel room, Heather’s already playing landlord, demanding Uptown’s books and ordering the free-pouring bartender fired. When Andre shows up, she gets visibly warm at the sight of him, touching his face like no time has passed, but he’s quick to remind her he’s a different man now, a married one. She calls his marriage manufactured and doubts he even proposed properly, bringing up a very specific memory of drinking him under the table in London and what happened after. He admits the kiss between them stirred something real, but insists he can’t go there again and that she’s a genuine threat to what he’s built with Dani. Heather claims she’s not scheming anything, just confident he’ll come crawling back eventually, and accuses him of cosplaying a life he doesn’t actually want. He shuts that down cold, tells her not to hold her breath, and walks.

Chelsea’s Fear Weighs on Nicole

Back at the hospital, Madison Montgomery pulls Nicole aside, worried sick about her fiancée Chelsea Hamilton, who woke up screaming the night before, convinced Allison Bailey is out there weaponizing her social media against her. Nicole, ever the psychiatrist, walks Madison through how trauma actually works, though it doesn’t do much to calm anyone’s nerves. Nicole promises to check in on Chelsea herself and mentions Laura Peterson‘s already planning a purse release party, presumably to give Chelsea something to focus on besides Allison’s shadow. It’s a rare quiet moment in Beyond the Gates before Bill’s crisis swallows the whole hospital whole.

One man collapsed and handed his silence to the one woman who never wanted the job. One woman bought a casino out from under two men who never saw it coming. One flirtation nearly detonated a marriage before it even started, and one old flame proved she never actually left town.
