Carter Said It, and Daphne Believed Every Word
In this week’s Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Daphne is still reeling on Monday. On Friday, Carter Walton walked into Forrester, announced “Steffy is our surrogate” to his wife, Daphne Rose Walton, and swore the implantation and fertilization had finally happened.
Monday’s preview says it plainly: Daphne is stunned by Carter’s surprising news. Then on Tuesday, Daphne questions why she was left in the dark. Steffy Forrester Finnegan saw that question coming from a mile away. She stood beside Carter fighting tears on Friday, because she had wanted to tell Daphne the truth, and he made the announcement before she could say a word.

Steffy Says What She and Carter Did Was Wrong
The weekly preview turns the screws. Steffy can’t take the lying anymore, and she says it out loud: “What Carter and I did was wrong.” Carter rushes to hush her, but she isn’t taking orders from him now. Daphne Rose Walton, she insists, deserves to know.
Steffy has been building to this for days, ever since Steffy decided she was done lying. On October 1, she told Carter she risked destroying her marriage. On October 2, she still wanted Daphne to hear how the baby was really conceived. Remember, Steffy got a positive pregnancy test on September 10 and believes the baby is Carter’s, from one drunken August night, so the surrogacy is the cover story.
Does Steffy Tell Daphne the Truth on Bold and the Beautiful?
Not necessarily, and here is my prediction. The preview never says what “wrong” means. Carter talks fast, and he has one easy out: the wrong thing was going ahead with the implantation without Daphne there. That apology fits Tuesday’s preview like a glove, because it gives Daphne Rose Walton a reason to feel shut out while the August night stays buried.
That is the twist hiding in plain sight. Steffy predicted Daphne’s question on Friday, and Carter brushed her off. If Daphne gets a sorry about a missed appointment instead of the truth about the baby, Carter wins the week, and Steffy loses one more chance to come clean.
Finn and Ridge Are Still Out of the Loop
John “Finn” Finnegan said no to this plan on September 23. He told Steffy it was “next level,” then left for a medical conference thinking the idea was dead. Finn has no clue about the pregnancy, the night with Carter, or the transfer Carter just announced. Carter is betting Finn will swallow it because of how Finn screwed up in Monaco.
Ridge Forrester is in the dark too. On Friday, he and Brooke Logan gushed about Daphne’s “remarkable” surrogate without knowing she is his own daughter. Before Finn left town, he asked Ridge to watch over Steffy. If I know these writers, Ridge hears the name soon, and he will not stay quiet.
Fans also want Taylor Hayes in the middle of this, and that is speculation for now. No confirmed scene has Taylor hearing the surrogacy news yet. But a mother’s radar is hard to fool, and don’t be surprised if Steffy’s parents start asking questions Carter can’t answer.
Then there is the woman at the center of it all. Daphne Rose Walton told Carter back in July that she can’t have children, and Steffy was the friend she trusted most to change that. The harder Carter sells this miracle, the deeper it cuts when the truth finally lands, and Daphne already has one question nobody wants to answer.
