Here is everything the crossover got wrong.

Victor Newman’s Flight Plan Makes No Sense

Victor Newman owns a private jet, runs Newman Enterprises, and commands more resources than most small countries. And yet during this crossover, Victor was giving a speech in Fairmont Crest on Beyond the Gates while also arriving in Genoa City on The Young and the Restless.

Not before. Not after. The same window.

We need someone in a writers’ room to explain this itinerary, because either Victor has quietly invented teleportation or nobody was watching the clock. The recap itself raised an eyebrow, noting Victor was somehow already home in Genoa City barely after the tornado hit, a drive that should have eaten the better part of a day. The math does not work, and once you notice it, the whole illusion wobbles.

This is not a nitpick. When the patriarch of two shows breaks the timeline, every scene built around him inherits the crack. Victor deserves a continuity team that can keep him on one coast at a time.

Kyle Abbott Learned Nothing From New York

Kyle Abbott sat down with Martin and reminisced about their time in New York like it was a warm memory instead of the launchpad for one of his messiest chapters. New York is Tara Locke territory, the relationship that gave him Harrison and left a trail of fallout he never fully cleaned up.

Then Anita pulled him aside in Fairmont Crest and did not mince words, warning that Hayley “may act sweet as sugar, but she is a two-faced, gold-digging, husband-stealing viper.” Anita does not hand out warnings for sport. And Kyle, true to form, treated it like a suggestion he could file away for never.

So of course Kyle spent the trip getting close to Hayley Lawson, a married woman, wed to Bill Hamilton, who was somewhere on this same trip presumably wondering why his wife was suddenly so chatty with an Abbott. Is Hayley about to become the next casualty of the exact pattern Anita already named? Kyle Abbott walked right past the red flag and into the next round of his own worst habit.

Diane Jenkins Is Missing on One Show and Cozy on the Other

Here is the genuinely strange part. On The Young and the Restless, Diane Jenkins is missing. Bed not slept in, two days gone, with Jack Abbott panicking and demanding answers from anyone who will hold still long enough to give them.

On Beyond the Gates, during that exact same stretch, Jack and Diane were riding out a tornado together, side by side in scene after scene. Those two things cannot both be true. Diane cannot be vanished without a trace in Genoa City and calmly weathering a storm beside her husband in Fairmont Crest at the same time.

We are not asking for a documentary. We are asking for one version of where Diane Jenkins physically is. Pick a lane.

The Helicopter Nobody Asked For

Let us talk about the helicopter. Victor has his own jet, which he presumably flew here. And yet a separate, Newman-branded helicopter also turned up, because arriving by private jet apparently was not a loud enough entrance. Why charter a branded chopper when local transportation exists for everyone else with a wallet? Because Victor does not do “everyone else.”

And then there is Abby, along for the trip for reasons never fully explained. Victor has not prioritized Abby in Genoa City for a long time, so watching him drag her to a crossover only to barely engage once everyone arrived was its own quiet statement, intended or not. The crossover wanted spectacle, and Victor Newman supplied it, logic be damned.

Which crossover sin stung the worst, the impossible schedule, the repeat offense, or the missing-yet-present wife?
