CURTIS ASHFORD IS LOCKED IN PENTONVILLE, BUT DONNELL TURNER HAS NOT SAID GOODBYE

TL;DR: Curtis Ashford is serving ten years in Pentonville and fans fear a write-out on General Hospital. Donnell Turner has not announced an exit as of October 7, 2026, and Curtis is juggling two deals to get free.

Fans Are Asking Whether Curtis Is Done in Port Charles

Is Curtis leaving GH? It is one of the hottest General Hospital questions in search right now, and it is easy to see why. Curtis Ashford is serving a ten year sentence in Pentonville, he barely survived a prison attack, and every week seems to drag him further from home. Here is the answer as of October 7, 2026: Donnell Turner has not announced an exit, and neither has the show.

What fans are seeing is a man in a cage, and soap fans know a cell can be a quiet way to clear a contract. So we went through every beat of his fall, scene by scene, to see where the writers are really taking him.

One Punch Put Curtis Behind Bars

It started with one punch. Curtis hit Isaiah and damaged the surgeon’s hand, then turned down a plea deal and took his chances in court. On August 13, 2026, a jury found him guilty, and he was sentenced to ten years with parole possible after two. Martin moved to appeal.

The goodbye that followed sent the first wave of exit panic through the fan base. Jordan Ashford vowed to wait for him, and their farewell before prison played like a final scene. It was not. Curtis went inside, and the story followed him there.

Curtis Ashford Nearly Lost Everything in the Prison Attack

On September 25, the devastating Pentonville attack targeted Jenz Sidwell, and Curtis got hurt stepping in. He landed at GH, and on September 29 he pointed the finger squarely at Sonny Corinthos, because the attackers used Sonny’s name. Viewers know Ava and Drew framed Sonny. Curtis does not, and that blind spot is about to cost him.

Is Curtis Ashford Leaving General Hospital in 2026?

Not according to anything announced as of today. Curtis Ashford sits at the center of two live escape plans, which is a lot of story for a character on his way out. On September 29, Monet Mitchell showed up offering an appeal without telling him she is Jordan’s sister. On October 1, Willow Cain agreed to chase a governor’s pardon in exchange for his help against Sonny, and she pulled strings to keep him in the hospital three more days.

Here is what nobody else is lining up: both of his ways out run through a woman with a secret. Monet is hiding her family tie, and Willow’s own name just landed on Lulu’s recorder when Sidwell talked. When Curtis gets blindsided on Thursday, October 8, the smart money says one of those deals is what cracks.

Donnell Turner Has Given No Sign He Wants Out

Off screen, Donnell Turner passed ten years as Curtis last November, and he talks about the role with nothing but gratitude. Earlier this year he called his run “surreal” and “beyond what I expected.” He has also said he is “grateful for stability, longevity, and being respected and heard.” No exit, no final taping date and no recast talk has come from him or the show.

Where the Writers Are Taking Him Next

My gut tells me the writers are building Curtis Ashford a road out of Pentonville, not out of Port Charles. A pardon or a winning appeal brings him home to his daughter Trina Robinson and to Jordan, who promised to wait. Thursday’s shock will tell us which road it is. Catch every beat before sweeps on our General Hospital spoilers for the next two weeks, and watch our weekly GH comings and goings for any real casting news.

Curtis Is Fighting His Way Home, Not Packing His Bags

Here is our take: ten years is a long sentence, but a soap sentence lasts only as long as the writers need it. Curtis has an appeal on the table, a pardon in play and a family waiting for him, and those are the tools of a comeback, not a farewell.

If Turner ever does walk away, it will come with an announcement, not a cliffhanger. Until then, keep the faith and tell us how you want Curtis to break free over on our Facebook page.

I think the Curtis prison thing lays in the hands of the court judge and Isaiah, after all Isaiah is the reason for Curtis being confined, The prison beating isn’t the reason for Curtis to be released from prison, Got to go back to the begining. which is Curtis and Isahia injury.
