General Hospital Spoilers: Custody War Erupts as Brook Lynn Quartermaine Brings Ric Lansing to Face Chase
The Brook Lynn and Chase custody battle begins on General Hospital as Ric Lansing walks in for Brook Lynn and Monet tells Chase to brace for war.
BROOK LYNN QUARTERMAINE WALKS INTO MONET’S OFFICE WITH RIC LANSING, AND HARRISON CHASE’S HOPE FOR A QUIET SPLIT OVER PHOEBE IS GONE
TL;DR: Monet tells Chase to prepare for the worst case scenario this week, Chase says he doesn’t want a battle, and Brook Lynn Quartermaine shows up with Ric Lansing. The fight over Phoebe just got lawyers, and both sides have plenty of ammunition.
Ric Lansing Walks Into Miller and Davis With Brook Lynn
The Brook Lynn and Chase custody battle on General Hospital is no longer a maybe. In this week’s promo, Monet Mitchell sits Harrison Chase down at the Miller and Davis offices and tells him to prepare for the worst case scenario. Chase insists he doesn’t want a battle. Then Brook Lynn Quartermaine walks in with Ric Lansing.
ABC’s own tease says Monet prepares Chase for what’s to come with Brook Lynn. Chase wanted a civil split. His wife brought the most ruthless lawyer in Port Charles, and little Phoebe is the prize.

Monet’s 50/50 Plan Just Hit a Wall
Chase thought he had this handled. In late September, Monet told him to move back into the Quartermaine mansion so it wouldn’t look like he had abandoned his child, and she informed Tracy Quartermaine that Chase is entitled to a 50/50 arrangement. On October 5 she started the separation paperwork. On October 8 she offered to skip straight to divorce, and Chase said no.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine was the one holding back. On October 14, as our October 14 recap laid out, she accepted her marriage was over, admitted Tracy wants her to sue for full custody, and said she wasn’t sure. Ned Quartermaine urged her to look out for Phoebe’s best interests, which may mean her father in her life. Walking in with Ric says she made up her mind.

Who Is Brook Lynn’s Lawyer on General Hospital?
Ric Lansing. Brook Lynn arrives at Miller and Davis with Ric at her side, and that settles the question everybody has been asking. One preview also places Ric’s daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis, in the room, but most reports have Ric walking in with Brook Lynn alone. Molly does seek advice from her mother, Alexis Davis, on Wednesday, October 21, though nobody has said about what.
Here is what nobody else is saying. Miller and Davis is Alexis’s firm. Tracy and Ned brought that firm in on Brook Lynn’s crash case in September, and Tracy even asked Alexis about handling the divorce. Alexis turned Chase away when he came to her about a separation, and then her firm’s newest hire, Monet, took him as a client. Brook Lynn Quartermaine had every reason to go outside the building, and she picked the one lawyer who is already across a courtroom from Chase’s cause.

Ric Is Already Fighting Chase’s Cause in Court
On October 9, Chase talked Willow Cain into suing Lulu Spencer for libel. “Do not let the Quartermaines win,” he told her. “I’ll be with you every step of the way.” On October 16, Ric offered to defend Lulu, as our Lulu and Ric preview saw coming.
So Ric now has two cases aimed at the same man. Every question he asks Willow under oath is a question about what Chase knew. And on Friday, October 23, Ric and Monet go toe to toe. Is that showdown about Phoebe, or is Monet about to show up for Willow too? Reading between the lines, either answer is bad news for Chase.

What Each Side Can Use Against the Other
Brook Lynn’s side has the kitchen. When Lulu’s article hit on October 8, Chase stormed in and blamed Tracy, Michael and his own wife. He has stood beside Willow publicly while he is still married, which is exactly what Tracy and Michael hoped for when they plotted to push Chase toward Willow. Don’t be surprised if a certain butler’s camera finally comes into play.
Chase’s side has the crash. Brook Lynn was the other driver who drove away from the Route 91 wreck that hurt Jordan Ashford, and Monet is Jordan’s sister, as we explored when Monet’s family secret came out. Chase also told Mac on October 15 that he is staying a beat cop to spend more time with his daughter. That is the stable dad a judge wants to see.
Then comes Thursday, October 22, when Chase is thrown for a loop. If I know these writers, the timing is no accident, and the writers have promised someone will come calling with a claim on Phoebe. Brook Lynn Quartermaine may win the first round and still lose the war. Our weekly spoilers and two-week spoilers lay out what comes next, and our separation coverage shows how this started.

Chase Wanted Peace and Brook Lynn Brought a Shark
Chase keeps saying he doesn’t want a battle, but he picked one the day he chose Willow’s side over his wife’s. Brook Lynn did the math. If Chase is going to stand with the woman Ric is fighting in court, then Ric is the lawyer who can make him pay for it.
Team Brook Lynn says a mother protects her baby by any means. Team Chase says a woman who fled a crash scene has no business lecturing anyone about parenting. Pick your side on our Facebook page.

unless you where standing there when crash happen, you would know exactly what happen and what vehicle and describe the person exactly at this point nobody knows nothing other than Curtis and Jordon making out while driving, also there’s another vehicle involved, but the way I see it with Jordon and Curtis at wheel making out is what sent cars scrambling. and bring up fact that it was Valentine that did stop to help. Get it right. so chase knows nothing other than what he heard threw the grapevine.
