Ric Lansing Planted the Bug While Hudson Showered
Hudson Parker and Jude on General Hospital could be one phone call away from colliding, and the phone is already tapped. On Thursday, October 15, while Hudson showered at Sonny’s boxing gym, Ric Lansing broke into his locker and slipped a listening device into his briefcase. Ric listened through an earbud, then reported that the job was done. Our October 15 recap caught every sneaky second.
The order came from Sonny Corinthos, who told Ric on October 13 to “figure out who this Hudson Parker is,” calling him “the key to stopping Josslyn.” Two days later Sonny drew a hard line around his former stepdaughter, Josslyn Jacks: “she’s untouchable.” He wanted Hudson rattled within the law. A busted locker and a hidden bug is a creative reading of the law.

What the Bug Heard First, and What It Missed
Here is what nobody else is telling you. The bug went in a few minutes too late. Before the showers, Hudson sat down next to Harrison Chase at the gym and opened with, “You must be thinking about your daughter.” He brought up the separation from Brook Lynn Quartermaine, then cheerfully told Chase that little Phoebe “won’t miss what she can’t remember.”
Chase poured his heart out to a man circling his family since summer. On August 4, in Norway, Hudson cornered Ethan Lovett, called him a thief who “stole from the wrong man,” and learned Delilah’s baby was alive. We laid out what that could mean in our secret daddy watch.
So what did the bug catch first? Hudson complaining to Chase about how much he dislikes Ric. Readers of one fan blog had a field day, with one teasing that Ric really wants to get on Sonny’s good graces, and a fan newsletter noted that Ric treated Hudson like a lackey. The secret that matters is still waiting for the next call.
Who Is Hudson Parker Working For on General Hospital?
Nobody on screen has said. On August 25, right after Josslyn took the CEO job at Jasper Jacks Enterprises, Hudson phoned someone unseen and promised to get her to change her mind. On September 14 he checked in again, saying he had done what his partner suggested. No call has aired since, so the bug is sitting in his briefcase waiting for the next one.
Enter Jude. Wil Traval’s mystery man rolled into Port Charles on October 16, the day after the bug went in, and on Monday he makes Britt Westbourne an intriguing deal, as we broke down in who Jude really is. Circulating spoiler chatter says Jude may push for a meeting with Hudson in late October, and that the week of November 2, Sonny may learn there is a new key player in town. The same chatter says the bug could expose Hudson as Jude’s lackey. Nothing on screen links the two men yet.
Josslyn Gets Hurt First If the Bug Catches a Boss
Don’t be surprised if the first casualty is not Hudson at all. Josslyn got the CEO chair on Hudson’s word alone, and Hudson placed the winning bid when the company snatched Sonny’s piers on October 12. If Ric hears Hudson take orders from someone else, Sonny will know Josslyn’s right hand is a plant before she does. We warned that her war on Sonny could backfire, and this is how.
Phoebe’s family is next in line. The head writers promised someone will come calling with a claim on Phoebe, and Hudson has already pumped her father for details. Britt could get burned too, if the man she shakes hands with on Monday turns out to be the voice on Hudson’s phone.
And Ric Lansing is not safe from his own handiwork. A bug planted in a locker is leverage, not evidence, and Sonny asked for clean hands. Ric is also juggling a second job: he offered on October 16 to represent Lulu Spencer in the libel suit against her, as we covered when Lulu turned to Ric.
The Road to November Runs Through Friday
The next clue could land fast. On Friday, October 23, Jason Morgan calls out Josslyn, Ric and Monet Mitchell go toe to toe, and Sonny dangles a tantalizing deal. Keep your ears on that briefcase. My gut tells me Ric Lansing hears something before November sweeps that he cannot unhear, and then Sonny has to decide whether Josslyn is still untouchable.
