General Hospital
General Hospital Spoilers: 1992 Timeline Exposes Whether Tristan Roberts Is Anna Devane’s Son
Is Tristan Roberts Anna Devane’s son on General Hospital? The 1992 timeline says a secret Scorpio baby would be 33 or 34, but canon pushes back.
TRISTAN ROBERTS AND THE MISSING SCORPIO YEARS
TL;DR: Fans think Tristan Roberts is Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio’s secret son. A baby born before the 1992 explosion would be 33 or 34 today, so the math works. A tribute name and one ugly retcon stand in the way.
Anna Devane Sees Robert in the New Surgeon
Is the new heart surgeon in Port Charles a Scorpio? The question General Hospital fans keep asking is whether Tristan Roberts is Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio‘s secret son. We did the math. If Anna had a baby before she and Robert were presumed dead in March 1992, that child would be 33 or 34 today, which is exactly the age of a grown surgeon.
The spark came Monday, September 28, on the Metro Court patio. Anna told Tristan the WSB is letting her stay in town for therapy, then said he reminded her of someone who now lives far away. Emma Scorpio-Drake glared through the whole chat, asked her grandmother who she’d been sitting with, and got nothing but Anna’s back. Relive every glare in our September 28 recap.
Earlier today we floated a stolen-baby twist of our own. Now every version of this prediction gets checked against the family history.

The Missing-Years Math Actually Works
Here is the timeline. Robert and Anna were on a boat in South America when it exploded in March 1992, and both were presumed dead, along with Faison, who was aboard too. Their daughter Robin, who first appeared in 1985 as a five-year-old, was left to be raised by her uncle Mac. When Anna resurfaced, she had amnesia.
So a secret pregnancy has to start before that explosion. A baby born in 1992 would be about 12 years younger than Robin and 33 or 34 now. Anna’s memory gap hands the writers their excuse, because a mother can’t mourn a baby she can’t remember. That’s why fans online keep insisting this wouldn’t even count as a retcon.
Then there’s the name. The show named Tristan Roberts in honor of the late Tristan Rogers, who played Robert for 45 years and died August 15, 2025. Tristan also arrived as an Australian, just like Robert.
Is Tristan Roberts Robert Scorpio’s Son on General Hospital?
Not on screen, and not yet. Nothing that has aired makes Tristan a Scorpio. Head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten did say this summer that Tristan wants a fresh start, but “a clean break with his past will prove difficult when he discovers his adopted home is host to more than a few connections to a life he left behind.” Connections to a past he left behind is a very Scorpio way to put it.
If the prediction lands, the family tree shifts fast. Tristan becomes Robin’s younger full brother and uncle to Emma and her brother Noah. He’d also be half-brother to Sasha, whom a 2024 reveal made Robert’s daughter with Holly Sutton, which proves this family already hides children well. Emma’s stare suddenly looks like a niece sizing up an uncle she doesn’t know she has.

Faison Already Cost Anna One Storyline
Here’s where the other predictions stumble. Some fans want Faison to have stolen the baby, but the show already tried giving Anna a child with him. In 2018, Peter August was revealed as Faison’s son with Anna. Viewers cried foul, and the story was later rewritten so Anna’s twin, Alex Marick, was Peter’s real mother.
Helena Cassadine is the dark horse, and her case is thinner. Nothing on record ties her to an Anna pregnancy, so any role for her would be built from scratch. And if a twist ever made Faison the father, Tristan would be half-brother to Britt Westbourne, which would end any romance before it starts.

Tristan Roberts Predictions, Ranked
Ranked against canon, a lost child born in 1992 and buried under Anna’s amnesia comes first, because the math works. Tribute only, with no relation at all, comes second. A Faison theft ranks third, since the show already walked back one Faison baby for Anna. A Helena scheme finishes last with no history behind it.
Reading between the lines, the real fight is tribute versus retcon. A secret son would honor Tristan Rogers and hand Anna a fresh heartbreak in one stroke. It could also turn Tristan Roberts from a loving tribute into one more paternity twist. We already asked in August whether he’s a WSB plant sent to watch Anna, and our two weeks of spoilers track what Anna and Emma do next.

The Math Says Maybe, the Tribute Says Hands Off
The window is real. A 1992 baby fits Anna’s amnesia, fits a grown surgeon’s age and fits every glance Anna has thrown him since August. If the writers want a Scorpio son, the history won’t stop them.
But fans have seen this show hand Anna a secret child and then take it back. We’re Team Tribute for now, with one eye on Emma. Tell us whether Tristan is a Scorpio over on our Facebook page.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How old would Anna and Robert’s secret child be on General Hospital?
About 33 or 34. Anna and Robert were presumed dead in a boat explosion in March 1992, so a child they conceived before it would have been born in 1992. That makes the child about 12 years younger than their daughter Robin, who first appeared in 1985 as a five-year-old.
Who is Tristan Roberts named after on General Hospital?
Tristan Roberts is named in honor of the late Tristan Rogers, who played Robert Scorpio for 45 years and died August 15, 2025. Dean Geyer plays Tristan, who debuted July 13, 2026, in the 16,000th episode. The show calls the name a tribute, not a family tie.
Did Anna Devane have a baby with Faison on General Hospital?
Not anymore. In 2018 the show revealed Peter August as Anna and Faison’s son, and fans objected. The story was later rewritten so that Anna’s twin sister, Alex Marick, was Peter’s real mother and Anna’s memory of giving birth had been planted.
