CARTER WALTON SAYS IT WORKED, AND STEFFY’S DATES ARE SIX WEEKS OFF

TL;DR: Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Carter Walton tells Daphne the procedure worked and Steffy is pregnant. No day is set yet. Steffy has been pregnant since August, so every scan Daphne asks for runs about six weeks ahead of the story, and Finn is on his way home.

Carter Tells Daphne the Baby Took, and No Procedure Ever Happened

Here is the Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that turns a cover story into a trap: Carter Walton is about to give his wife the words she has prayed for. The procedure worked, and Steffy is pregnant. No day is set yet, but the tease is plain. Carter tells Daphne Steffy is pregnant, and it is a devastating half-truth.

The true half first. Steffy Forrester Finnegan really is pregnant. Her test aired September 10, weeks before any so-called transfer, and she believes the baby is Carter’s from one night at Forrester in August.

On October 2, Carter told Daphne Rose Walton, “We did it. The implantation and fertilization… It’s finally happened. Steffy is our surrogate.” He never once said pregnant.

Daphne has been waiting on that word ever since she broke down on October 5 over being left out of the procedure. On October 6 she reminded Carter that nobody is confirmed pregnant yet. The next day she marveled at how grateful she is to her selfless friend, and Carter promised they would have their child sooner than she realizes. The rest of the week is in our two-week Bold and the Beautiful spoilers.

Should Carter have stopped at “surrogate” instead of promising Daphne a baby? Tell me what you think at amber@soapoperamagazine.com.

Daphne’s Good News Starts a Clock Steffy Cannot Stop

Think about how a real clinic works. After an embryo transfer, the blood test comes about 9 to 14 days later. Carter Walton put the “transfer” around the start of October, so by his own calendar the happy phone call lands between October 9 and October 16. That is the exact week network previews say Finn calls on Thursday, October 15, to say he is coming home early, and Steffy debates telling him the truth on Friday.

Then comes the part Carter cannot fake with a phone call. Steffy fled Monaco on August 13 and woke up next to Carter on the Forrester CEO office couch on August 18. By those dates she is about ten weeks along right now, while a baby from an October transfer would be about four. That gap of about six weeks follows every scan and every due date Daphne will want to see, the same math we laid out when Steffy’s surrogacy dates started to unravel.

Does Carter Tell Daphne Steffy Is Pregnant on Bold and the Beautiful?

Spoilers say yes, but it has not aired. On screen, Carter has only said the implantation happened and that Steffy is their surrogate. The tease says he takes the next step and tells Daphne the procedure was a success and Steffy is expecting. No network preview has put a day on it yet.

This is the delicious part. Carter Walton’s October 7 promise is truer than he knows. Counting from August, Steffy’s baby would be due around mid-May, while a baby from an October transfer would be due around late June. Daphne really will have her child sooner than she realizes, by about six weeks, and the first ultrasound she begs to see could show it.

Selfless Praise, Taylor’s Questions and Finn on the Doorstep

The praise is what will gut Steffy. Daphne already calls her selfless, and a confirmed pregnancy means baby talk at every turn from the people she is lying to. Taylor Hayes saw the cracks on October 7 and asked her daughter, “Is there something going on that I don’t know about?” Steffy changed the subject. The chatter says Steffy may end up confiding in her mother first, and my gut says Taylor already knows something is very wrong.

Then there is Finn. John “Finn” Finnegan said no to the surrogacy on September 23 and left for a medical conference. In the preview for the coming week he tells Steffy, “What I really want to hear is what I missed. You can share anything.” The chatter says he will be stunned and upset that she went ahead without him, and this is a doctor who once ran a paternity test himself, twice.

Meanwhile, in that same preview, Daphne hugs her husband at work and calls him “my loving, loyal husband.” Carter Walton answers, “This is gonna work out… For all of us.” If I know these writers, this secret explodes long before any baby arrives, and a single medical test could do the talking for Steffy.

Carter’s Baby News Is the Lie He Can Never Take Back

We are calling it: the day Carter tells Daphne that Steffy is pregnant is the day the cover story stops being a plan and becomes a trap. Until then, he could still claim the transfer failed. After it, there has to be a doctor, a scan and a due date, and every one of them points back to August.

Our bet is that Daphne finds the missing six weeks before Finn does, because she will be sitting in every appointment. Team Carter or Team Daphne? Pick a side on our Facebook page.
