FINN AND LI PUT STEFFY FORRESTER FINNEGAN’S PREGNANCY UNDER THE MICROSCOPE

TL;DR: Spoilers say Finn and Li Finnegan investigate Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s pregnancy on Friday, October 23. Finn already refused Carter’s outside doctor and ran the blood test himself, and a sonogram is next. A scan reads size, not paperwork.

Finn and Li Investigate Steffy’s Pregnancy as Carter Loses Control of the Tests

The newest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers put Steffy’s pregnancy in the worst possible hands. On Friday, October 23, John “Finn” Finnegan and his mother, Li Finnegan, investigate the pregnancy of Steffy Forrester Finnegan. Two doctors. One chart. And a secret that was conceived in August, not October.

So are they getting closer to what Steffy and Carter Walton are desperate to hide? Closer than anyone has been. Not there yet. Every trusted preview stops short of the truth coming out, but Thursday’s episode quietly handed the Finnegans the one advantage Carter never wanted them to have.

Look at how Finn’s blood test played out on Thursday. He blocked the door so nobody could leave. Carter asked to let an outside doctor handle the testing, and Finn shut him down flat.

“Prep the blood test. We are going to find out if you are pregnant with Carter’s child,” he told Li. He meant the surrogacy embryo. Steffy knew those words could have meant so much more.

What the Blood Test Proved, and What It Could Not

Li drew the blood. Li brought back the clipboard. Finn read it out loud: “You’re pregnant.” Daphne Rose Walton hugged her husband and thanked Steffy like a sister, even after admitting she had no idea about the procedure until it was done. Carter called the baby everything he and Daphne ever dreamed of.

Steffy cried. Finn stared at her. That is where Thursday left it, and it is the most dangerous look on the canvas right now.

Here is the catch. A blood test says yes or no. It does not say who, and it does not say when. That is exactly why the cover story survived Thursday, and exactly why it may not survive what comes next.

Are Finn and Li Getting Closer to Steffy and Carter’s Secret on Bold and the Beautiful?

Yes, closer than ever. First-look photos for the coming episodes show Li running a sonogram on Steffy Forrester Finnegan, with Finn at his wife’s side even though he never wanted her to be a surrogate. One caption asks the question that should keep Carter awake: can they make the timing work to keep up this lie?

Do the math the way Li will. By the cover story, the embryo went in around October 2, the day Carter said “do this today.” That makes Steffy about five and a half weeks along on Friday. The real clock started with the night she spent with Carter in mid-August, after she fled Monaco, which puts her closer to eleven and a half weeks. We laid out that calendar when Steffy and Carter rushed to the hospital, and it has only gotten worse for them.

On a monitor, that gap is not subtle. Five and a half weeks is a tiny sac, sometimes with no heartbeat to see yet. Eleven and a half weeks is a baby you can measure, with arms, legs and a heartbeat flickering on the screen. A sonogram does not read paperwork. It reads size.

Li Finnegan Has Been Asking the Right Questions All Week

Li has not been fooled for a minute. On Wednesday she asked how Steffy Forrester Finnegan and Carter found an egg donor so fast, and learned Steffy used her own egg. She is the doctor who told Daphne she was infertile back in July, and as we covered when Li was stunned by the surrogacy, she knows exactly how long these things take.

Finn has his own alarm going. When Steffy first told him, he sensed there was more going on. Now his mother is holding the wand, and Carter, the man who told Steffy that no one can know the truth, is not the one choosing the doctor anymore.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan Is Running Out of Room

If I know these writers, the sonogram is where Steffy stops controlling this story. She already called it a cover-up on Wednesday and said she could not imagine nine months of it. Don’t be surprised if she tries to get to Finn first, before a screen does the talking for her.

Carter is the wild card. He tried to move the testing to a doctor of his own once. My gut tells me he tries again, and that a second request looks twice as suspicious to two Finnegans who are already counting.

The Sonogram Is the Test Steffy Cannot Talk Her Way Past

Steffy survived the blood test because it only asked one question. The sonogram asks a harder one, and Li is the one holding the wand. Our money says the dates start talking before Steffy does, and Daphne, still hugging everyone in sight, is the one who gets hurt worst.
