DEKE SHARPE COULD FINALLY GET HIS BIG BREAK AS ERIC FORRESTER’S HEALTH THREATENS KATIE LOGAN’S FASHION HOUSE ON BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

TL;DR: Eric Forrester‘s stress-related health crisis is putting Katie Logan‘s entire Logan fashion house launch in jeopardy on Bold and the Beautiful. If Eric bows out, all signs point to Deke Sharpe stepping in as lead designer, since Katie already scouted him at Il Giardino weeks ago.

Eric’s Breaking Point Is Deke’s Open Door

The Bold and the Beautiful writers have thrown fans a serious curveball. We all assumed Eric (John McCook) would power through the Logan debut collection without missing a stitch. Instead, the stress of working under Bill Spencer‘s (Don Diamont) relentless pressure is literally putting Eric in the hospital. And that opens a door that Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) has been waiting to walk through.

Let’s be real. Working with Bill would stress out anyone, let alone an eighty-year-old man with a history of health problems. Bill doesn’t care about the finest quality silk or that a world-class designer needs time and patience. All Dollar Bill cares about is the bottom line.

So Eric is stuck in a nightmare. He’s fighting to prove Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) wrong after being forced into retirement, battling Bill‘s “time is money” attitude, and missing Forrester Creations and the people who actually love him. That combination is destroying his health, and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) has been begging him to stop before it’s too late. Eric isn’t listening. Not to Donna. Not to his own body. And that stubbornness could cost Katie Logan (Heather Tom) her entire fashion launch.

Did Katie Forget About Deke?

Here’s the thing that’s been bugging fans for weeks. Well over a month ago, Katie sat down with Deke Sharpe at Il Giardino and made it pretty clear she was impressed with his design work from his time at Forrester Creations. She told him she’d be talking to him again soon. Then? Nothing. Radio silence. Weeks went by with no follow-up, and fans started wondering if that conversation was just a throwaway scene.

Now it looks like that chat might have been the most important moment of Deke’s career. We had all pictured Eric mentoring Deke at Logan, passing decades of expertise down to a hungry young talent. Being trained by Eric Forrester would have been the dream scenario. But with Eric’s health spiraling, that mentorship fantasy is slipping away fast.

The real question now is whether Katie picks up the phone and finally makes that call.

Can Deke Survive Bill Spencer?

If Katie does hire Deke Sharpe as lead designer at Logan, there’s a massive problem waiting for him. His name is BillDeke’s good-natured, soft-spoken approach to life is going to crash head-first into Bill’s blustery, demanding style. You can already picture Dollar Bill growling, “This kid just graduated from design school! He’s still wet behind the ears!”

Bill wouldn’t be totally wrong to worry. Heading up a debut collection for a brand going toe-to-toe with Forrester Creations? That’s massive for someone who was waiting tables a few weeks ago. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) replaced Deke in a key design role, and that sting hasn’t faded. This would be the ultimate comeback, if he can pull it off.

What’s Next for Deke Sharpe and the Logan Launch?

Could this mean Deke goes from bussing tables to running a fashion collection in a matter of days? Don’t be surprised if Katie makes a desperate phone call the second Eric gets wheeled into that hospital. Given Eric’s stubbornness, there’s a real chance he fights his way back to the drafting table even if doctors beg him to stop. But if he can’t, Deke is the only name on Katie’s shortlist.

And here’s what should terrify Ridge. What if Deke’s first Logan designs are actually brilliant? What if the kid who got pushed out of Forrester Creations ends up threatening everything Ridge has built? That kind of poetic justice would be peak B&B.

Think you know how this plays out? We want to hear your take. Write to the editor at [email protected] and tell us whether Deke is ready for the big leagues or if Katie is making a huge mistake!

It’s going to be very interesting to see how this all unfolds. If Deke does get the call, will he shock everyone with designs nobody saw coming? Will Ridge be forced to admit the kid has real talent? One thing feels certain. Deke Sharpe’s time to shine may be fast approaching.

Do you think Deke can handle the pressure, or is he in way over his head? Sound off in the comments and tell us whose side you’re on!
