The Bold and the Beautiful
Bold and the Beautiful: Hope Logan Protects Her Cheating Father While Throwing Taylor Hayes Under the Bus
Hope Logan rushes to defend Deacon Sharpe’s affair and pins the blame on Taylor Hayes. But fans remember what Hope did to Liam Spencer.

TL;DR:Hope Logan rushes to defend her father Deacon Sharpe after his affair with Taylor Hayes is exposed on Bold and the Beautiful, but instead of holding Deacon accountable for breaking his marriage vows to Sheila Carter, Hope pins the blame squarely on Taylor. Considering Hope’s own history of ending her marriage to Liam Spencer over a kiss, the double standard is impossible to ignore.
Hope Chose Daddy Over Accountability
There are a lot of ways Hope Logan could have handled the fallout from her father’s affair. She could have stayed out of it. She could have acknowledged that Deacon Sharpe is a grown man who made a conscious decision to cheat on his wife. She could have, at the very least, spread the blame evenly between the two people who chose to crawl into bed together. But Hope didn’t do any of that. Instead, she swooped in to shield Deacon from consequences and pointed every finger she had at Taylor Hayes. Let’s be very clear about what actually happened here. Deacon is the one who is married. Deacon is the one who took vows in front of Sheila Carter. Deacon is the one who sat on Taylor’s therapy couch, turned their professional relationship into something physical, and then went home to his wife’s bed like nothing happened. Taylor absolutely crossed a line by sleeping with a patient, and nobody is letting her off the hook for violating her oath as a psychiatrist. But Hope didn’t frame this as two people being equally wrong. She framed it as Taylor being “part of the situation too,” which is a very convenient way to make her father the lesser villain in a mess he created.

The Rome Kiss Changed Everything, Except Hope’s Memory
The part that makes this truly wild is Hope’s own track record. This is the same woman whose marriage to Liam Spencer ended because she kissed Thomas Forrester in Rome. One kiss. Not a weeks-long physical affair. Not a secret relationship with her therapist. A single kiss, and Hope accepted that her marriage was over. She didn’t fight for it. She didn’t blame Thomas for being irresistible. She owned what she did and let Liam walk. So how does that same woman turn around and excuse her father’s full-blown affair? Hope Logan knows exactly what it feels like to have a marriage destroyed by someone crossing a line. She lived it. She caused it. And now she’s standing in front of Deacon like a human shield, telling everyone that Taylor is the real problem. Something tells me this has nothing to do with fairness and everything to do with the fact that Hope spent most of her life desperate for a relationship with her father. She finally has one, and she will burn down anyone who threatens it.
Steffy Is Not Going to Let This Slide
Could this mean Hope just handed Steffy Forrester the ultimate ammunition? Steffy already tore into her own mother for sleeping with Deacon. She was furious. She was terrified of what Sheila might do. And now Hope Logan is out here publicly defending the man who seduced Steffy’s mother and wrecked her credibility as a therapist. Don’t be surprised if Steffy takes this personally. Hope isn’t just defending an affair. She’s defending the affair that humiliated Steffy’s family, and Steffy has never needed much of a reason to go to war with Hope in the first place. Meanwhile, Sheila Carter, the woman everyone expected to snap, is showing more restraint than Hope is showing common sense. Sheila grabbed a pizza cutter instead of a weapon. She chose to walk away. She chose psychological warfare over bloodshed. The fact that Sheila is handling this betrayal with more maturity than Hope is handling her father’s accountability should tell you everything you need to know about where this story is headed. If history is any guide, Hope Logan’s defense of Deacon is going to cost her. Whether it’s her standing at Forrester Creations, her already fragile relationship with Steffy, or her own credibility, the bill is coming due. And when it arrives, Hope won’t be able to blame Taylor for that one.
