Amanda Sinclair, Competes for Genoa City’s Most Pointless Person

Oh, good… Amanda Sinclair has returned to Genoa City on Young & the Restless, but for what?

As Cane Ashby’s right hand, three people died on her watch in the South of France. Amanda is an attorney, but maybe she should find some representation of her own. The only people in town who have any time for her are Cane Ashby & Phyllis Summers. Cane is supposedly folding, & Phyllis is about to revisit her hot-mess mode.

So, who might Amanda befriend, date, &/or work for in Genoa City? What does she have to offer anyone on Y&R?

Genoa City’s Most Pointless Attorney, Amanda Sinclair

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is back in Genoa City & so far it’s a waste. If Young & the Restless had to pick an attorney to have on set, it would be the now-deceased Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), but Y&R fans can’t have nice things, apparently. Heather was Detective Paul Williams’s (Doug Davidson) last tie to Genoa City. Heather & Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) have a daughter together, Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), & they were in love.

What does Amanda Sinclair have? She has nothing. 

There is not one single relationship that ties her back to Genoa City, & her work for Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has been a farce & no more than shameful, with three people being killed on her watch in the South of France. Her only friend right now is Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), & that’s not going well right now either.

Amanda Sinclair Can’t Even Work for The Mustache

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is still down an attorney, possibly the best in the land, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Michael & his wife, the fabulous Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), were also in the South of France on the Dumas trip from Hell, but for what? Lauren did influence her friend Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) NOT to sell Chancellor Industries to Cane Ashby when he was holding her son Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) & his on-and-off-again gal, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Otherwise, they didn’t really have a point in being there & were rarely seen by Young & the Restless fans on-screen.

The Mustache still hasn’t replaced Michael Baldwin & he doesn’t have many options. Amanda Sinclair could have been one before Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) & Detective Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) were killed in the South of France on her watch. No one was trying to kill Cane Ashby & as his right hand, she should have done her damndest to convince him of that. If she had, Damian &/or Chance would still be alive. They likely would not have even been on the trip to start with.

After what happened during the Dumas party from hell in the South of France, Amanda Sinclair has been left pointless on Young & the Restless.
