That alone raises questions about what Holden‘s real agenda is, but the more interesting question is whether Audra would even take the bait.

Right now, Audra seems far more interested in reigniting things with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams). But Kyle and Audra have a messy, combustible history that never fully resolved itself. Their angry encounters always carried a little too much heat beneath the surface. If Noah falls through — and things do tend to fall through on this show — Audra could easily slide right back into Kyle‘s world. The chemistry between those two was never the problem. The timing was.

Victoria Newman Would Be Bold but Doomed

Some fans on social media have thrown out the idea of Kyle and Victoria as a pairing, and on paper, sure, it sounds deliciously soapy. An Abbott heir romancing Victor Newman‘s most loyal daughter? The family dinners alone would be appointment television.

But here is the problem. Victoria is even more devoted to Victor than Claire ever was. Kyle Abbott just walked away from one woman because her grandfather was a dealbreaker. Dating a woman whose entire identity is built around being Victor‘s ride-or-die soldier would be doing the exact same thing and expecting a different result. It is a fun idea in theory, but it collapses the second you think about it for more than thirty seconds.

Summer Newman Is the Most Obvious Answer

Summer has been mentioned on The Young and the Restless more times than anyone can count in recent months. Her name keeps popping up in conversations, and it honestly feels like the show planned a return for her and then delayed it for reasons unknown. But the groundwork is clearly being laid.

Kyle and Summer share years of romantic history, multiple marriages, painful breakups, and a son in Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) who will always give them a reason to reconnect. A Summer recast could walk into Genoa City and immediately slot into a deeply personal storyline with Kyle that writes itself. The emotional infrastructure is already there. The question is not whether Summer comes back. It is when.

Tara Locke Is the Dark Horse Nobody Sees Coming

And then there is the name nobody is talking about. Tara Locke has been off the canvas since August 2021, when she was arrested for embezzlement and shipped back to New York to stand trial. She was exposed for blackmailing Summer into leaving Kyle, conspiring with Sally Spectra to manipulate the entire Abbott family, and using her own son as leverage to worm her way into Kyle‘s life.

But Tara is still Harrison‘s biological mother. That fact has not gone anywhere. If Tara has served her time or cut a deal, there is nothing stopping her from walking back into Genoa City and demanding access to her child. That kind of custody bomb would drag Kyle into a legal and emotional war that could dominate months of story. And if you want a bonus? A Tara return might be the exact catalyst that forces Summer to come home. Summer would never sit on the sidelines while the woman who once blackmailed her out of Kyle‘s life tries to take Harrison away.

What’s Next for Kyle Abbott?

For now, Kyle seems focused on helping Jack get payback against Victor and repair his fractured marriage to Diane. The love life is taking a backseat while the Abbott family regroups. But this is a soap opera, and a single, attractive lead character does not stay unattached for long.

Could this mean a Summer recast is already in the works behind the scenes? Don’t be surprised if Audra makes a play once the Noah situation fizzles. And reading between the lines, Tara Locke returning with a custody claim on Harrison would be the kind of twist that lights up every corner of Kyle‘s world at once.
