TL;DR: Patty Williams spent Monday’s The Young and the Restless cooing at Jack Abbott, toasting with Victor Newman, and tormenting Diane Jenkins. Jack Abbott and Kyle Abbott decided to use Patty as a weapon to destroy any chance Nikki Newman ever goes back to Victor. Nikki pitched Claire Newman as the next head of Chancellor, and Victoria Newman walked into Billy Abbott’s place to find Sally Spectra wearing an engagement ring.

Patty Williams Cooed, Stroked, and Whispered Her Way Through Crimson Lights

Patty Williams tracked Jack Abbott down and accused him of holding out for a woman who is dead inside. She noted he was still wearing his wedding ring. She leaned into him, stroked his shirt, and whispered about the magic between them. Jack told her the chemistry was drug induced. Patty declared she wanted to set him free.

Kyle Abbott walked in on the whole thing.

The second Patty strutted out, Kyle read his father the riot act. Flirting with Patty Williams to gather information was flirting with disaster. What if Diane Jenkins walked in. What if Patty dragged Jack down with her. Jack shrugged. Diane had given up on him. The gifts had started feeling like stalking. He could not fight for his marriage anymore. He could fight Victor Newman.

That was when the plan landed.

Jack Abbott and Kyle Abbott Are Aiming Patty Williams at Victor Newman

The Abbott men agreed on a strategy that should terrify every adult in Genoa City. Jack told Kyle that Victor Newmanwould not see an attack from Kyle coming. Kyle would be the one who went after Victor directly. And the two of them would use Patty Williams to destroy any chance Nikki Newman ever returned to Victor’s bed.

Read that again.

Two Abbotts. One psychopath. One target. The plan is to wield a known killer like a sword and aim her straight at the heart of the Newman marriage. Jack thinks he is in control of Patty. Patty thinks she is in love with Jack. Kyle thinks he can run an offensive against Victor without Victor noticing. Victor is about to find out he has been outmaneuvered by the only family he has spent forty years underestimating.

The Abbotts decided that the only way to take Victor down is to make sure Nikki Newman never goes back to him. The cleanest way to do that is to humiliate Victor in public, in front of his wife, with a woman who used to drug and abduct him. Patty Williams is the weapon. Patty Williams does not know it. And by the time she figures it out, the damage will already be done.

Patty Williams and Victor Newman Toasted While Diane Jenkins Watched

Over at the GCAC, Victor ran into Diane and gloated that he had broken her marriage. Diane fired back that Nikki had not rushed back to him either. Victor bragged that he was winning everywhere it mattered. Diane trashed him to his face.

Then Patty walked in.

Patty told Diane she had just spoken to Jack and their connection had grown deeper. Diane declared that Jack would always want her more and stormed out. The second Diane was gone, Patty told Victor that Diane would be sleeping alone and Jack would soon be back in her arms.

Victor toasted her. He told Patty she was a gift that kept on giving. He told her she had exceeded his expectations. Patty declared she was not done.

Diane watched the toast from across the room.

Here is the irony that is going to detonate this entire arc. Victor thinks Patty is his asset. Jack and Kyle think Patty is theirs. Patty thinks she is leading the path to love. Diane is the only person in that lobby who can see all three of them clearly, and Diane just walked away. The first person to figure out the others are running plays on the same chess piece is going to win the entire game.

Patty Williams is not anyone’s asset. Patty Williams is a loose nuclear device.

Nikki Newman Pitched Claire Newman to Run Chancellor

Across town, Nikki and Claire Newman sat down at the Chancellor Park Café for tea. Claire was wondering what came next now that Victor was unlikely to let her back at Chancellor. Nikki floated the idea of starting a non-profit in Katherine’s name. She mentioned helping Noah with his new club.

Then she handed Claire the real pitch. Claire should run Chancellor.

Lily Winters overheard the entire conversation and her face did a thing. Lily flashed back to her deal with Victor and she interrupted. Lily assumed Nikki was taking control of Chancellor. Nikki leapt up, apologized for being overheard, and then turned the tables on Lily. What deal did Lily make with Victor.

Lily lied. She claimed the only deal was to teach Cane Ashby a lesson. Nikki did not believe a word of it. Nikki did not push. Nikki filed the moment away to use later, because Nikki Newman is not a woman who forgets the look on Lily Winters’ face when she gets caught.

Victoria Newman Walked In on Sally Spectra’s Engagement Ring

Victoria Newman went to Billy Abbott‘s place to warn him that the fake Phyllis evidence had his name on it. Billy insisted his hands were clean. Victoria warned him the DA would decide. They fought about Victor. Billy accused her of choosing her father over her own backbone. Victoria accused him of being a selfish ass.

Then Sally Spectra walked in. Victoria noticed the engagement ring on Sally’s finger. Victoria managed to congratulate them. Billy added that they were also having a baby.

“That changes things,” Victoria said.

Translation. Victoria Newman is not okay. The mother of Billy’s older children just learned that her ex is engaged and expecting a child with the woman who has spent the last year quietly building the life Victoria did not know she still wanted. Victoria exited the apartment frazzled, devastated, and pretending she was fine. Sally asked Billy what she walked in on. Billy admitted he did not want Victoria to find out like that.

Patty is at the bar. Victor is toasting. Jack and Kyle are plotting. Nikki is recruiting. Lily is lying. Victoria is unraveling. Genoa City has never had a louder Monday.
