Lauren Fenmore Begs Michael Baldwin to Take the Case
Lauren tracks Michael Baldwin down at Crimson Lights and tells him what she saw. She accuses him of refusing to do the right thing. She says Phyllis has a good soul. Michael reminds her that Victor will come after him too. Lauren urges him to do this for her. They need to get Phyllis out of this mess.
Michael walks straight to the Newman Ranch. He tells Victor Newman that he will be representing Phyllis. Victor cannot believe Michael is willing to defend one of his enemies and warns him that if he crosses this line, there will be no coming back. Michael says his creed has always been that everyone deserves representation. Victor tells him to take his creed and get out.
Nick Newman tells his father after Michael leaves that he does not like Phyllis being arrested on false evidence. Victor says it is all her fault.
Sienna Bacall Tells Sharon Newman She Killed Matt Clark
Sienna Bacall thanks Noah Newman for coming after her and comforting her at Sharon Newman‘s. Noah wishes he had been there for her. Sharon walks in and pushes for the full account. Sienna says she wanted to hurt Matt. She jumped out of his car hoping he would drive off. He came after her. She fought him with everything she had. She killed him.
She flashes back to fighting Matt and hitting him in the head with a rock. When she saw him move, she kept hitting him. She checked for a pulse and realized he was dead. Noah concludes Matt is finally gone for good. Sharon is not satisfied. She wants more details. She says they need to be absolutely sure. Sharon offers to send Victor’s team out to confirm.
Sienna barely remembers the details. She was scared and ran. She remembers a water park but worries she is convincing herself he is dead. If he is not dead, Sienna says, he will be coming for her. Sharon adds that he will be coming for all of them.
Matt Clark Wakes Up at a Vegas Diner With No Memory
Two thousand miles from Genoa City, Matt Clark chokes down coffee at a diner counter and looks horrified. He finds his key to the GCAC in his pocket. The waitress refills his cup and asks if he is okay. He holds up the key and asks how far away he is from the place. The waitress tells him they are 2,000 miles from Genoa City. He is still in Vegas.
“I have to figure out what the hell happened to me and who I am,” Matt mutters to himself.
The man Sienna swore she killed with a rock is alive, lost, and somewhere outside Las Vegas with no memory of how he got there or who he was when he got there. The Newmans are about to find out the body does not exist because there is no body to find.
Nick Newman Tells Nikki Newman He Has Been Using Opioids
Nikki Newman is relieved Nick is back in one piece. They sit at Society. Nikki admits the fight she and Victor had may be one they cannot come back from. Nick says it is not his job to fix them. They talk about Sienna’s account of killing Matt. Nick says until a body is found, he is sleeping with one eye open.
Then Nick tells his mother something he has been dreading. He started messing with opioids. He was hooked enough that Adam Newman noticed. Matt fed him bad fentanyl. Sharon hooked him up with a treatment center. Nikki is sorry she never noticed. Nick is sure she never wanted to believe this would happen to her own son. Nikki recalls how her own addiction started with painkillers, too. She tells him they will beat this together.
Nick asks if Jack is the reason she left Victor. Nikki says what Victor did with Patty was more desperate and insane than anything else his father has ever done. Nick says losing Newman made his father more desperate than he has ever been. Nikki tells her son she is not ready to forgive Victor and may never be. The marriage that survived four decades of Genoa City may not survive Patty Williams.
Phyllis Summers Comes Home to Bad News
Michael and Lauren bring Phyllis back to Summer’s Conglomerate after posting bail. Michael admits it will be hard to build a case that the evidence is fake and that Phyllis did not do something illegal to get the company. Phyllis refuses to hand the company back. She refuses to be afraid of Christine.
Lauren wonders if Christine would consider dropping the case. Phyllis says Christine is salivating for it. This is all about Christine’s resentment. Michael thinks the DA might be willing to avoid this, but if it goes ahead, Christine will be out for blood.
Phyllis Summers is out on bail, indicted by an old enemy, defended by a lawyer she fired three times, and surrounded by a city that is watching her go down in real time. Tuesday is the day the walls finally came in.
Is Christine Blair going to take Phyllis Summers all the way down or will Michael Baldwin pull off a miracle? Sound off below because the comment section is about to be unhinged!
