Victor Newman Just Kidnapped a Whole Family and We Are Screaming
We need everyone to stop what they are doing and pay attention, because Victor Newman just did the most Victor Newman thing that has ever Victor Newman’d on The Young and the Restless.
This man — who just lost his entire empire to Cane Ashby and Phyllis Summers — responded by kidnapping Lily Winters and her twins Mattie and Charlie. He then strolled into his OLD office at Newman Enterprises, sat on the desk like he still owns the place, and delivered an ultimatum that would make a mob boss blush.
Sign the company back over to me, or you will never see your family again.
NEVER. SEE. YOUR. FAMILY. AGAIN.
Nikki Newman tried calling Lily. No answer. She tried Mattie. Nothing. She tried Charlie. Silence. Victor has snatched an entire family off the face of the earth and is using them as bargaining chips like this is a Tuesday afternoon errand.
And people really thought this man was going to go quietly into retirement? Please.

Phyllis Summers Tried to Rename the Company and Got Shut Down Immediately
Before Victor showed up to commit felonies, Phyllis Summers and Cane Ashby were settling into their new digs at Newman Enterprises. Phyllis suggested using sage to cleanse Victor’s energy from the office, which honestly is not the worst idea anyone has ever had.
Then she pitched the new company name: Ashby-Summers Enterprises.
The AUDACITY. The CONFIDENCE. The absolute DELUSION.
Cane shut that down so fast Phyllis probably got whiplash. He reminded her that Newman Enterprises is a name associated with reliability and innovation, and they are not changing it just so Phyllis can see her name on a building. She will be the woman behind the curtain, and she will like it.
Phyllis did not like it. But Phyllis also does not have a kidnapped family being held hostage, so her problems seem rather small right now.
The Entire Newman Family Is Panicking
Back at the ranch, chaos is reigning supreme. Chelsea Lawson showed up to confess to Victor that she pressured Adam Newman into telling her about the kidnapping plan. She thought she was getting ahead of things. She was not.
Victor was FURIOUS to learn that Nikki also knows. And before anyone could stop him, he announced he had things to take care of and stormed out — presumably to go threaten more people and hold more families hostage.
Nikki, Chelsea, and Adam are now spiraling. Chelsea and Nikki do not want to be tangled up in kidnapping and blackmail, which is a very reasonable boundary to have. Adam is trying to convince everyone to trust that Victor knows what he is doing, which is hilarious because Victor’s current plan is literally “commit multiple felonies until I get my company back.”
Adam fears his father could be using Cane’s family as a bargaining chip as they speak. Spoiler alert: he absolutely is.
Meanwhile, Jill Abbott Is Dying and Billy Cannot Sit Still
In slightly less criminal news, Jill Abbott’s health has taken a serious turn. Lauren Fenmore Baldwin tells Michael that any stress could be fatal because of Jill’s heart condition. Billy Abbott knows this too — he spoke with Snapper and got the same warning.
Jack Abbott thinks Billy should drop everything and go visit their mother. Billy says Jill asked him not to come because he often causes her stress. Which is both sad and also… fair.
Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott also spent part of the episode arguing about whether Michael Baldwin or Nikki Newman is more loyal to Victor. It is a debate with no winners, because the answer is that everyone in Genoa City is somehow tangled up in Victor’s nonsense whether they like it or not.
Victor Newman Will Burn the World Before He Loses
Let us be absolutely clear about what is happening on The Young and the Restless right now. Victor Newman lost his company. He responded by kidnapping three human beings and threatening to make them disappear forever unless he gets what he wants.
This is not a man who accepts defeat. This is not a man who retires gracefully. This is a man who will commit international crimes before he lets Cane Ashby sit in his chair.
And honestly? We would expect nothing less. The mustache does not negotiate. The mustache takes hostages.
