The Young and the Restless
What Happens When The Great Victor Newman Pushes His Wife Into Another Man’s Bed?
Victor Newman and Diane are pushing Jack Abbott and Nikki Newman closer together on Young and the Restless. We see where this is going.

JACK ABBOTT AND NIKKI NEWMAN ARE ONE BAD NIGHT AWAY FROM DESTROYING TWO MARRIAGES ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
TL;DR: Victor Newman is spiraling. Diane Jenkins doesn’t trust Nikki. Jack Abbott and Nikki Newman keep finding themselves alone together with decades of history between them. We are calling it now. These two are going to end up in bed and it will be the affair that burns Genoa City to ashes on The Young and the Restless.
Victor and Diane Are Writing This Love Scene Themselves
Victor Newman has become a man consumed by rage. He is threatening Cane. He is threatening Billy. He is threatening to become everyone’s worst nightmare. He bellows at people in his own living room and promises to crush anyone who defies him. And while he is busy waging war on every person in Genoa City, his wife is standing right there watching the man she married disappear into someone she barely recognizes on The Young and the Restless.
Nikki Newman has tried. She told Victor she wouldn’t go along with any more abductions. She questioned whether they should trust Cane. She asked her husband what Katherine Chancellor would say if she could see what has happened. And Victor’s response to every single one of her concerns has been the same: I don’t lose, and I will crush them. That is not a husband talking to his wife. That is a general dismissing a civilian.
Meanwhile, across town, Diane Jenkins spends every conversation about Nikki Newman dripping with contempt. She mocks Nikki’s voice. She rolls her eyes at the idea that Nikki would ever put Jack Abbott‘s interests above her life as Mrs. Victor Newman. Diane doesn’t trust Nikki and she makes sure Jack knows it every chance she gets. She is pushing her husband away from the one woman who has always understood him and straight into a situation where the only comfort Jack Abbott has left is the very woman Diane told him to stop relying on.

Jack and Nikki Have Decades of Gasoline Between Them
These two were married. They have loved each other. They have held each other through addiction, loss, betrayal, and war. Jack Abbott has always been the man Nikki turns to when Victor becomes unbearable, and Nikki has always been the woman Jack turns to when the world feels like it’s closing in. That pattern has never broken. It has only ever been managed.
And right now, nobody is managing it. Victor is too busy destroying people to notice his wife is lonely. Diane is too busy resenting Nikki to notice she is creating the exact conditions for her husband to seek comfort somewhere else. Nikki is worried about Victor going rogue. Jack is watching Jabot burn. They are two people drowning in separate storms who keep reaching for the same lifeboat.
One Hug Is All It Takes
Nikki tells Jack she’s worried about Victor. Jack hugs her. Diane walks in. That is the setup. That is the fuse being lit. And we are telling you right now, if Victor keeps pushing Nikki away and Diane keeps mocking her existence, that hug turns into a conversation. That conversation turns into a confession. That confession turns into a night neither of them can take back.
Jack Abbott and Nikki Newman in bed together would be the nuclear bomb that levels every relationship in Genoa City. Victor would never forgive Nikki. Diane would never forgive Jack. The Abbott and Newman war would go from corporate to deeply, violently personal. And the worst part? Every single person around them would know it was coming because Victor and Diane practically gift wrapped it.
This Would Be the Affair of the Decade
Jack and Nikki wouldn’t fall into bed because they stopped loving their spouses. They would fall into bed because their spouses stopped making them feel like they mattered. Victor chose vengeance over his marriage. Diane chose jealousy over trust. And Jack Abbott and Nikki Newman chose each other the way they always have, in the wreckage of everything else falling apart.
We are not saying it will happen tomorrow. We are saying the table is set, the wine is poured, and the only two people in Genoa City who don’t see what’s coming are Victor Newman and Diane Jenkins. And when it happens, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
