Victor Newman Bought Back His Empire by Confessing to a DA at the Newman Ranch

Phyllis SummersMichael BaldwinChristine Blair, and Nick Newman all arrive at Victor Newman‘s door for a SUMMIT none of them want to be at. Phyllis prompts the patriarch to tell the DA he set her up. She will give Newman back the SECOND all charges are dropped. Victor stays silent. He smirks. He crosses his arms. He looks like he is calculating whether he can sustain prison cuisine. Michael pitches how this could work. Phyllis dangles the portrait Victor lost back on the wall. Reader, Y&R is having grown adults negotiate corporate ownership like it is a hostage swap and we are EATING.

Christine asks Victor flat out if he fabricated the evidence. The pause is GENERATIONAL. Then Victor CHUCKLES and admits he did what he had to. Christine is FURIOUS that she trusted him and Victoria. She will never make that mistake again. Victor admits he cannot prove Phyllis stole his company. He CAN provide proof his own evidence was fabricated. She will get it the second Phyllis hands the company back. Christine walks out. Michael says the papers will be signed within the HOUR. He exits with Phyllis.

Victor turns to no one in particular and says “we won.” Reader, Victor Newman said “we won” like he was reading the inscription on a tombstone. The Mustache may have won the company. He has lost his entire DA. The win was the most emotional win Newman family history.

The Newman Family Pops Champagne and Toasts the Saddest Victory Yet

Later at the Newman Ranch, Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson join the family with the papers in hand. Newman Enterprises is officially Newman again. They pour champagne. Victoria Newman toasts “to daddy.” Victor toasts the family LOYALTY. They drink to the company being back where it belongs. Reader, the camera lingers on a victorious Victor Newman whose face is doing things only a man who has lost something else can DO.

Victoria leans in and reminds her father this isn’t the same without her mother in the room. Is there ANY way back to her? Victor pats Victoria on the HEAD. Reader. He PATS HER ON THE HEAD. That is Newman patriarch for “do not push it but also do not give up on me.” Eric Braeden is hand-painting an entire marriage decline with a single gesture. Hand him the Daytime Emmy.

Michael Talks Phyllis Off the Cliff at Crimson Lights

Earlier at Crimson Lights, Michael walks in to find Phyllis WORKING after telling him the night before she would step back. She has changed her mind. Michael tells her this is not the moment. If she gives the company back, Victor might be MAGNANIMOUS because she saved his son. He thinks Christine will be FAIR. Phyllis is sure “the bug” has been waiting to dance on her grave. Michael tells her to stop being a victim. She made a play. It did not work.

Phyllis demands assurances from Victor Newman AND Christine in writing. Michael says they should go make this happen NOW. Phyllis reminds him she fired him. Michael, smiling, reminds her that he is the master of keeping people out of prison. He has not quit on her. She thanks him. They HUG. Reader, Christian LeBlanc and Michelle Stafford in a coffee shop is more therapeutic than any rehab Y&R has on offer.

Nick Tells His Mom He Is in Rehab and Victoria Calls Bla Bla Bla

Over at the GCAC, Nikki Newman tells Victoria she did NOT sleep. Victoria worries about the migraines. Nikki waves it off as MS symptoms. Victoria wants her to see a DOCTOR. Nikki refuses. The stress of the marriage is causing the headaches. When this settles, the headaches will too. Reader, Y&R has been telegraphing this medical mystery for FOUR episodes and the migraine is dancing in her temples like it has a ticket to a Broadway musical. Something is COMING.

Nikki wonders if Victor will remember how much they love each other once the dust settles. Victoria assumes the company being back will bring them back together. Nick joins them, snags Victoria’s fruit, and announces he had his FIRST rehab session and feels OPTIMISTIC. Victoria’s response is the line of the YEAR. “Bla bla bla.” She wants PROOF this time. Nick admits he has messed up. He is making sobriety his priority. He tells them Phyllis may have saved him but he has officially taken away her options and she knows it is GAME OVER. Reader, Joshua Morrow played that line like he had practiced it in a Newman family mirror.

Adam Asks Chelsea if She Wants Another Baby at Crimson Lights

Across town at Crimson Lights, Adam joined Chelsea to chat about how their son Connor made the HONOR ROLL and even has a GIRLFRIEND. They congratulated themselves on parenting. Adam asked if Chelsea has ever thought of having ANOTHER child. Chelsea said he has clearly thought about this. He has NOT. Chelsea asked if Sally’s pregnancy planted the seed. Adam admitted maybe.

Chelsea said motherhood was the best thing that ever happened to her. But she would rather focus on Connor. Adam had no problem with that. He told her he TALKS to his lost daughter all the time. Chelsea said that was BEAUTIFUL. Reader. Adam Newman, who has spent his entire run as a chaos demon, is grieving his lost daughter quietly and BUILDING something with Chelsea. Mark Grossman has UNLOCKED a tender frequency we have not heard before. Victor’s phone call interrupts. The Newman patriarch wants Adam at the ranch. Adam goes.

Phyllis Stalks Christine at the GCAC and Calls Her Victor’s Puppet

Back at the GCAC, Phyllis vents to Michael that she has done the right thing for everyone but HERSELF. She has lost everything. POOF, she says. Rock bottom. Michael reminds her she avoided prison and her kids will eventually FORGIVE her. Christine walks in. Michael tries to STOP Phyllis. He cannot.

Phyllis STALKS over and tells Christine she has been telling the truth this entire time. All Christine could do was DEFER to Victor and humiliate her. Phyllis calls Christine NOTHING but Victor’s PUPPET. She says it gives her so much JOY to show everyone that the DA is a “big flop.” Reader, Phyllis took losing the company and CONVERTED it directly into rage fuel against Christine and we have never seen alchemy this efficient. Michelle Stafford is going to win an Emmy this year and the only question is which scene CLINCHES it.

Whose Thursday move has you reeling? Victor confessing to a DA to win his company back? Phyllis calling Christine a puppet in public? Or Adam telling Chelsea he talks to their lost daughter every day? Sound off because we need to talk!
