Fans are split between gross and glorious, because Kyle married Victoria’s niece and proposed to her daughter. Victor wants Abbott blood by Friday. He just doesn’t know which Abbott yet.

The One Time Thing Gets a Second Time

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Victoria and Kyle land on Monday, September 7, 2026, and they land in a motel room. Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott swore the Jabot couch on August 27 was a one time thing. It was pretty great, though, Kyle admitted. Now Kyle has booked a room at the Riverbank Motel because it is safer than the club, and Victoria has said yes.

Here is the part that turns a hookup into a heart attack. Phyllis Summers is on that property Monday, because Matt Clark is holed up at the same motel and Phyllis is his girlfriend now. Victoria has to duck behind a housekeeping cart to keep Phyllis from spotting her. One squeaky wheel and this affair is over before the sheets cool.

Think about who Phyllis is. She is Summer’s mother, and Summer is Kyle’s ex-wife. Of every woman in Genoa City who could wander down that hallway, the writers picked the one with the most reason to make a scene, and the sharpest memory for it. That is the kind of Genoa City scoop that keeps me up at night.

The Family Tree Is the Whole Problem

Fans did not need a diagram, but I made one anyway. Summer Newman is Nick’s daughter, which makes her Victoria’s niece. Kyle married Summer in 2022 and divorced her in 2023. Claire Newman is Victoria’s own daughter. Kyle dated Claire from late 2024, proposed to her on September 1, 2025, got turned down, and lost her for good on September 29, 2025.

So the man in that motel room has been with the niece, the daughter, and now the mother. When the Jabot couch scene aired in late August, the reader comments went to war. One camp called it gross, cringeworthy and disgusting per her own daughter. The other called it the hottest, soapiest affair in years. Both camps are still typing.

The show saw this coming. Claire told her mother to her face on August 25 that Kyle was using her to get at the Newmans, a warning that got louder when the motel plan first surfaced last week. Victoria Newman brushed it off. Two weeks later she is hiding behind a cleaning cart. Mothers, in my experience, are supposed to be the ones handing out that speech, not receiving it.

Why Are Fans Calling Victoria and Kyle Gross on Young and the Restless?

Fans call it gross because Kyle has now been intimate with three women from one branch of the Newman tree, and the show keeps putting the collateral damage in the same room. Claire lives in Genoa City and still cares what her mother does. Phyllis, the niece’s mother, is standing feet from the motel door on Monday. Nobody else has laid that math out plainly.

Here is my correction to the chatter. The circulating claim that Victor already knows and is holding the affair over the Abbotts does not match a single dated spoiler. The blackmail actually in play this week belongs to Audra Charles, and it is about the Vibrante patents, not the romance. Audra thinks Victoria pulled the patent stunt alone and has no idea Kyle was in on it.

Victor Wants Abbott Blood by Friday

That said, Victor Newman endorses a revenge plot against the Abbotts on Friday, September 11, 2026, and the man has never met a family secret he could not weaponize. Don’t be surprised if the affair becomes his ammunition before the month is out. My gut tells me the person who hands it to him is Phyllis, who owes Victoria nothing and owes Victor even less, but would trade a Newman secret for Matt Clark’s safety in a heartbeat.

Then there is Kyle himself. He picked revenge over peace with the Newmans back on August 3, and three weeks later he was on a couch with Victor’s daughter. Michael Mealor has said in interviews that it is pure lust and that Kyle loves the danger. Could this mean the actor knows something the character is not admitting yet? If I know these writers, the answer is yes, and the reveal will come the same week Victoria Newman finally lets herself believe him.

Victoria Picked the Worst Possible Abbott and Cannot Stop

I get it. Victoria buried a husband last year, and Kyle is charming, dangerous and available. But a widow with a grown daughter in town does not get to pretend the daughter’s ex is a clean slate, and a woman named Victoria Newman does not get to hide behind a cart in a motel hallway without the whole town eventually hearing the wheels squeak.

Kyle is the one who should worry. Victoria has a father who eats Abbotts for breakfast and a daughter who called this on day one. Round two is Monday. Round three is when the door opens. Tell me which side you are on over at our Facebook page.
