TL;DR: Y&R fans are calling out the hypocrisy as Nate Hastings, Devon Hamilton, and Lily Winters judge Audra Charles for her scheme with Victor Newman, despite their own histories of infidelity, betrayal, and even vehicular homicide.

The Glass Houses Are SHATTERING in Genoa City!

Hold onto your coffee cups, Y&R fans, because we need to have a SERIOUS conversation about what’s happening in Genoa City right now. The moral grandstanding? The self-righteous judgment? The absolute AUDACITY?

I’ve been watching this show for decades, and I don’t think I’ve EVER seen such blatant hypocrisy!

What Did Audra Actually Do?

Let’s start with the facts. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) made a business deal with Victor Newman. That’s it. That’s the crime.

She agreed to break up Kyle Abbott and Claire Newman‘s relationship in exchange for funding for her cosmetics startup, Vibrante. Was it manipulative? Sure. Was it ethical? Definitely not. But was it anywhere NEAR the level of betrayal and destruction that her judges have committed?

Not. Even. Close.

The scheme was exposed when Claire witnessed Audra kiss Kyle, and everything unraveled from there. Nate dumped Audra on August 26th’s episode, and now she’s desperately seeking a second chance while facing judgment from the entire Winters-Hastings family.

Let’s Talk About Nate’s Track Record, Shall We?

Oh, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Where do I even BEGIN?

This is the same man who cheated on Dr. Elena Dawson with his BOSS, Victoria Newman! While they were living together! While Elena was trusting him completely! He gaslit her into thinking her suspicions were unfounded, then got caught red-handed when he finally admitted to sleeping with Victoria.

But wait — there’s more!

The really twisted part? Nate is literally repeating his father’s mistakes. His dad, Nathan Hastings Sr., cheated on Dr. Olivia Barber with a woman named Keesha Monroe. Like father, like son, apparently. The lack of self-awareness is STAGGERING.

And now he wants to judge Audra for a business scheme?

Make it make sense!

Devon’s Affairs Are LEGENDARY (And Not in a Good Way)

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) sitting in judgment of ANYONE is rich. Rich, I tell you!

This is the man who had an affair with Hilary Curtis while she was married to his ADOPTIVE FATHER, Neil Winters! The man who literally rescued him from foster care! The betrayal was so profound it destroyed their relationship permanently. Devon knew it was wrong — the guilt ate at him, especially after Neil was temporarily blinded — but he did it anyway.

Think that’s bad?

He did it AGAIN!

While dating Amanda Sinclair (who was Hilary‘s previously unknown twin sister, by the way), Devon cheated with Abby Newman. Amanda and Chance Chancellor literally walked in on them in a post-coital state at Devon‘s penthouse.

The man has a pattern. A destructive, relationship-destroying pattern of betraying the women he’s with for women already in his inner circle.

But sure, let’s have him judge Audra for kissing a guy as part of a business deal.

Lily’s Past Makes Everyone Else Look Like Saints

And then there’s Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Deep breath, everyone.

Lily is responsible for Hilary Curtis‘s death. And the death of Hilary‘s unborn child. She was driving while arguing with Hilary, ran a red light, and caused a fatal accident. Hilary died at the hospital after marrying Devon on her deathbed.

Lily went to PRISON for vehicular homicide!

She literally has a criminal record for KILLING someone through negligence!

Oh, and she also cheated on Cane Ashby with Joe Clark because she wrongly thought Cane was having an affair with Lauren Fenmore.

This woman — who has taken lives, destroyed her brother’s happiness, and served time — is judging Audra for… accepting funding from Victor?

The hypocrisy is so thick you could cut it with a knife!

What’s REALLY Going On Here?

You know what this is really about?

Projection. Pure and simple.

Nate, Devon, and Lily see in Audra a reflection of their own worst impulses, and they HATE it. They’re judging her for a corporate manipulation while conveniently forgetting their own histories of:

  • Destroying marriages
  • Betraying family members
  • Causing actual DEATHS
  • Serving prison time

Audra‘s “crime” was transactional. Business. Cold? Yes. Calculating? Absolutely. But it wasn’t personal betrayal on the level these three have committed.

What’s Next for This Hypocritical Mess?

Given Y&R’s history, don’t be surprised if Audra gets her revenge by exposing ALL of their dirty laundry.

Could this mean we’re heading for a massive confrontation where Audra throws their histories right back in their faces? Given how the writers love dramatic revelations during sweeps, this setup is PERFECT for November.

Don’t be surprised if Victor gets involved — he funded Audra‘s scheme, after all. And we all know Victor keeps receipts on EVERYONE.

This likely leads to either Audra getting a redemption arc (finally!) or the Winters-Hastings family being forced to confront their own hypocrisy publicly.

The Bottom Line

The moral high ground in Genoa City is apparently built on quicksand.

Audra made a calculated business move that hurt some feelings. Nate destroyed a loving relationship through infidelity. Devon betrayed his adoptive father in the worst possible way — twice! And Lily literally killed someone.

Yet somehow, Audra is the villain here?

The math isn’t mathing, folks!

If the writers don’t address this hypocrisy soon, they’re going to have a full-scale fan revolt on their hands. Because we see EXACTLY what’s happening here, and we’re not having it!

Justice for Audra Charles!

At least she owns her schemes instead of pretending to be morally superior while standing on a foundation of betrayal, infidelity, and vehicular homicide!
