Drew even pointed out that being Scout’s only parent works in his favor, while Ava admitted she envies him for it, since she still has to walk a tightrope with Sonny.

Add in the fact that Drew Cain recently agreed to a quiet divorce from Willow Tait, no public scandal, no mention of what actually happened between them, he keeps the house and the money, and you’ve got a freshly single man bonding intensely with a woman who already understands exactly how ruthless he can be. That’s a combustible combination, and daytime has never once let that setup stay purely strategic for long.

What Happens When Willow Tait Finds Out?

Here’s where it gets messy. Say the Ava and Drew alliance turns physical, and Willow finds them together before the ink on their divorce agreement even dries. Willow rewriting herself as the wronged party this fast would be one of the boldest moves this show has pulled in a while, and given everything she’s already gotten away with, we would not put it past her for a second. She could use the affair to renegotiate the entire deal, the house, the money, even public sympathy, all while Drew is left holding evidence about her past that suddenly looks a lot less damaging next to a fresh betrayal everyone can see with their own eyes.

Ava, for her part, would have no idea she handed Willow Tait the exact kind of ammunition she’s been searching for since the moment Drew woke back up. Two women who think they’re playing everyone else could end up playing right into each other’s hands instead, and honestly, we would watch every single second of it unfold.

It also raises an uncomfortable question for Drew Cain himself. He spent weeks promising Willow would pay for what she did to him, and yet an affair with Ava would hand her the exact narrative she needs to make him look like the villain all over again. For a man this obsessed with control, that would be a spectacular own goal.
