ADAM NEWMAN IS LEFT WRESTLING WITH HIS FEELINGS AS SALLY AND BILLY KISS OVER THE BABY HE DELIVERED

TL;DR: Adam Newman delivers Sally Spectra’s daughter on Young and the Restless and is left wrestling with his feelings as she and Billy kiss over the baby. Is the show setting up an Adam and Sally reunion and a split from Chelsea? Not yet, but his first words to Chelsea on Wednesday are about Ava, and Billy is flying to London.

Adam Delivers Sally’s Daughter, Then Wrestles With His Feelings

Adam Newman delivered Sally Spectra‘s daughter on Tuesday’s Young and the Restless, October 20, and the hour left him wrestling with his feelings. With Billy Abbott declining his calls and no working phone in reach, he did it himself, right there in her suite. Billy arrives, and he and Sally tear up and kiss over their newborn while Adam stands in the foreground, then looks away. So will Adam and Sally get back together, and is the show setting up a split from Chelsea?

Not yet, but the next hour points straight at Chelsea. In Wednesday’s episode, which aired Tuesday in Canada, Adam meets Chelsea Lawson at the hotel entrance, and she sees the blood and fears he fought Billy. She calls what he did heroic. Then, with his mind on Ava, the daughter he and Sally lost in 2023, he tells her he couldn’t keep them safe the first time, and Chelsea holds him.

Every one of our Young and the Restless spoilers for the next two weeks pulls on that knot: the man who just delivered Sally’s baby is still grieving the one they lost.

Sally Thanks Adam as Billy Heads for London

Wednesday doesn’t cool things down for Adam Newman. Sally tells him she owes him so much, and he insists she owes him nothing, just as he told her in July 2026, when he bought Newman Media from her behind Victor Newman‘s back. Billy and Adam pass at the door without a word. His mother, Jill Abbott, had a heart attack, and Billy plans to fly to London in the morning without telling Sally, even as Sally suggests the name Ruby for their daughter.

Jason Thompson, who plays Billy, said on Tuesday that Billy “ends up going the next morning, and he’s on the plane, potentially going to say good-bye to his mom.” He added that “Adam does everything he can to stay in the picture,” and that “Billy just wants Adam to go away, but he continues to show up.”

Will Adam and Sally get back together on Young and the Restless?

Nothing aired or announced says they will, but nobody is closing the door. Thompson said, “For fans of Adam and Sally, it’s kind of a beautiful moment for them, too,” and Courtney Hope has said of Sally, “I don’t think she ever stopped loving him.” On May 26, though, outgoing head writer Josh Griffith said, “He’s not romantically pining for her. He’s profoundly in love with Chelsea.” New head writers take over on Wednesday, November 11.

Here’s what should worry Chelsea most. The last time Adam Newman delivered a baby for a woman carrying Billy’s child, that woman was Chelsea. On April 9, 2012, he pulled her out of an icy pond and delivered her son in a cabin. Eighteen days later, on his birthday, they kissed, and on July 20, 2012, they married in Kansas.

Romance, Ava and the Split: The Adam and Sally Timeline

Sally arrived in Genoa City on November 3, 2020. She and Adam first kissed in September 2021 and got together on Valentine’s Day 2022, but that July, with Victor dangling the Newman Media CEO job, Adam ended it: “I didn’t say I didn’t love you. I just didn’t love you enough.”

Then came Ava. In June 2023, told he had to choose to “save the baby or the mother,” Adam chose Sally, and their daughter was stillborn. They reunited in January 2024, until Adam slept with Chelsea in Baltimore that July. Sally ended it in September 2024, and Adam and Chelsea reunited on March 19, 2025.

What Chelsea, Billy and Sally Stand to Lose

If this is building to a reunion, Chelsea has the most to lose: the ranch house she has shared with Adam Newman since January 2025, with their son, Connor Newman, away at school, and the friendship with Sally she just won back. In Baltimore, she was the other woman. This time, she would be the one left behind.

Billy would miss days with his newborn in London, and Thompson says the man Billy blames for his daughter Delia’s 2013 death was “the first person to hold her.” Sally would risk a two-day-old marriage after insisting in September that Adam was a part of her past.

CBS says “Chelsea sees a new side to Adam” on Thursday, October 22, and “Victor gives Adam much-needed advice” on Friday, October 23. Victor wanted Chelsea back in the Newman family in December 2024, so don’t be surprised if his advice has her name all over it.

Ava Is the Bond Right Now, and Chelsea Is the One Holding Adam

Adam’s first words to Chelsea after the delivery are about Ava, not Sally. Grief ties him to Sally today, and Chelsea is the one holding him through it. But Billy is boarding a plane, and Adam keeps showing up. My prediction: Adam and Sally end up closer before Billy gets home, and Chelsea notices first.
