VICTOR ASKS HOW CHELSEA FEELS ABOUT SALLY’S BABY, AND ADAM NEWMAN SLAMS THE DOOR AS BILLY LEAVES

TL;DR: Young and the Restless spoilers: Adam Newman defies Victor over Sally Spectra and baby Ruby on Friday. Victor asks how Chelsea really feels about Adam delivering Sally’s baby, and Adam shuts him down cold. Will he hover over Sally and Ruby while Billy is away? Nothing official says so yet.

Victor Finally Has His Talk With Adam, and Adam Shuts It Down

Adam Newman defies Victor Newman over Sally Spectra and baby Ruby on Friday’s Young and the Restless. Victor finally gives his son that much-needed advice, and since Canada saw the episode a day early, we know exactly how it goes. Does Adam ignore his father, and will he hover over Sally and Ruby while Billy Abbott is away? Keep our Young and the Restless spoilers for the next two weeks handy, because the second half of that question is still open.

At the ranch, with Nick Newman in the room, Victor calls Adam a hero, says the delivery can’t have been easy and brings up Ava, the daughter Adam and Sally lost in 2023. Then he asks how Chelsea Lawson feels about all of this, given Adam’s history with Sally. Nick wonders whether Chelsea is hiding how she really feels. Adam jabs that Nick has spent too much time in therapy, insists he and Chelsea are thrilled for Billy and Sally, and ends the conversation.

Notice what Victor never says: no order to stay away from Sally, no lecture about Chelsea. It’s a father asking one honest question a day after Billy shook Adam’s hand and thanked him for helping Sally and Ruby, and a son refusing to answer it. That’s the defiance, and it comes the same day Billy leaves town.

Is Adam right to shut his father down? Write to our editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell us why.

Young and the Restless spoilers, Sally Spectra and Billy Abbott before Billy leaves for London

Billy Leaves for London, and Sally Is Home With Ruby

Billy can hardly bring himself to go, but his brother Jack tells him to, and Lauren and Michael pick him up for the Abbott jet. It looks like his mother, Jill, is in shape for surgery after her heart attack. Nobody says how long Billy will be gone. That leaves Sally home with a days-old baby, and when Nick stops by to see Ruby, she says Adam was great but worries about what the delivery stirred up in him.

So who is left around Sally? Adam and Chelsea are across town at the ranch, Victor and Nick are watching Adam, and her best friend Audra Charles is a call away. Jason Thompson, who plays Billy, said this week that “Adam does everything he can to stay in the picture,” and “Billy just wants Adam to go away, but he continues to show up.” With Billy gone, Adam Newman doesn’t have to get past him.

Chelsea Insists the Visit Wasn’t Weird

At Society the same day, Audra calls the visit awkward given their history, and Chelsea insists it wasn’t weird and asks Audra to stop throwing her worst mistakes in her face. Adam joins them and admits seeing them together will take getting used to. Audra even jokes about what happens when Sally has to choose godparents.

Two people, two conversations, the same protest that everything is fine. Chelsea backed every step of this, and she was the one who said yes to Thursday’s visit. Nick’s question hangs over the ranch: what does Chelsea really feel?

Does Adam Listen to Victor on Young and the Restless?

Not lately, and the record cuts both ways. In July 2022, Victor dangled the Newman Media CEO job, and Adam Newman ended things with Sally: “I didn’t say I didn’t love you. I just didn’t love you enough.” But this July, he went behind Victor’s back and offered to buy Newman Media from Sally, saying he wouldn’t let his father hurt her too, and when Victor found out in August, he told him, “You didn’t tell me about that.”

Victor usually works on the women. He warned Sally off Adam in September 2021, wanted Chelsea back in the Newman family in December 2024, and complained this July that Chelsea had too much control over Adam. On Friday, he goes straight to his son, and the question is about Chelsea, not Sally. We already asked whether the delivery could put Adam and Sally back together, and now Victor sounds like he’s wondering the same thing.

Young and the Restless spoilers, Victor Newman questions Adam Newman about Chelsea Lawson

Nothing Official Puts Adam at Sally’s Door Yet

Nothing CBS has released puts Adam Newman on Sally’s doorstep while Billy is away, and next week’s preview is about London, Matt and Lily, not Sally. My gut says Adam finds a reason to check on Ruby anyway.

New head writers take over on Wednesday, November 11, and co-head writer Jamey Giddens has already shared holiday set photos that include Jason Thompson and Courtney Hope, who plays Sally. So it looks like Billy is home for the holidays.

Will Adam stay away from Sally while Billy is gone? Make your case in the comments.

Adam Protected Sally From Victor Once This Year, and Billy’s Trip Opens the Door Again

Adam wouldn’t take his father’s question, and he has crossed Victor for Sally before. With Billy gone and Chelsea insisting everything is fine, the only thing between Adam and Sally’s door is his own good sense. My prediction: Adam checks on Sally and Ruby while Billy is away, and whoever catches him tells Chelsea.
