BABY RUBY HOLDS COURT IN THIS Y&R CANADIAN DAY-AHEAD

TL;DR: This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead packs the whole Spectra clan into Sally Spectraโ€™s suite to meet Baby Ruby, sends Adam Newman looking for a shoulder after a very long hour, and hands Cane Ashby and Lily Winters news of two very different kinds. Billy Abbott faces a hard call about Jill Abbott, while Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman keep finding excuses to be in the same room. Want the bigger picture? Our Y&R spoilers for the next two weekshave it all.

The Spectras Line Up to Meet Baby Ruby

This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead opens in a hotel suite that has officially become the most popular room in Genoa City. Sally Spectra tells Billy Abbott that their brand-new daughter is the most perfect wedding present anyone could have asked for, while Adam Newman hovers near the door like a man who has seen more of this wedding than he ever planned to. Billy wants to get everyone to the hospital right now. Sally has a better idea: hold your daughter first.

Billy heads off to wash his hands, and Sally uses the quiet to thank Adam for sticking around. She never expected a girl, and here she is, perfect. This is not how Sally pictured spending her wedding day, and Adam, sensing the room could use fewer people in it, offers to go. She asks him to tell the family what happened, thanks him one more time, and he slips out. When Billy comes back scrubbed and sentimental, he holds the baby, tells her how amazing her mom was, and hears Sally say she has no idea what she would have done if Adam hadnโ€™t been there. Billy nods the way a man nods at a root canal. Then Sally gets to the real point: before anyone goes anywhere, she wants her Grams and Coco Spectra to meet the baby.

Cue the royal court. Audra Charles, Shirley Spectra, and Coco pile into the suite, thrilled, and Shirley announces that โ€œgreat-gramsโ€ is far too ordinary for a woman of her sparkle. From now on, she is Gigi. Nobody is brave enough to argue. Audra, ever the event planner, offers to make an announcement to the guests so the party keeps going, and the story she plans to tell is that Sally has gone to the hospital in labor. It is a cover story with one very small hole in it. After she meets the baby, everyone swears this child will be the best dressed baby in the world, and nobody in that room is going to let her leave the hotel in anything less than couture.

Then comes the naming, which is the first real test of this family. Nobody approves of โ€œElectra Spectra,โ€ which may be the only thing every person in the room has agreed on all day. Sally suggests Ruby, all the redheads love it, and Billy is on board. He also has an idea for a middle name but is keeping it to himself for now, a bold move in a room full of curious women. As everyone files out, Sally notices the phone call Billy made and asks if everything is okay. He tells her they can talk about it later. Sheโ€™s sure he has questions about the birth, too. Those can wait. Billy has never once dodged a question gracefully, so enjoy the show.

Young and the Restless Canadian Day Ahead (Y&R Canadian Day Ahead) Adam Newman, Chelsea Lawson

Adam Newman Needs a Fresh Shirt and a Hug

Out in the hall, a shaken Adam finds a hotel phone, which works, which is the first good news of his day. He calls Chelsea Lawson and says he needs to go home and change, and they arrange to meet at the entrance. He walks down the stairs dressed for a wedding and accessorized for a crime scene, and Chelsea takes one look at all that blood and assumes he got into a fight. Given his rรฉsumรฉ, itโ€™s the reasonable guess.

Adam explains that Sally went into labor and he delivered the baby. It was fast, but it was smooth. Chelsea thinks what he did was heroic, nothing short of a miracle. Then Adamโ€™s voice softens, and he tells her he couldnโ€™t keep them safe the first time. He doesnโ€™t want to be alone, and Chelsea holds him.

Cane Ashby Books His Own Flight

In the club, Cane Ashby tells Lily Winters that Lauren Fenmore is arranging flights, and heโ€™s ready to go. What he canโ€™t figure out is why he hasnโ€™t heard back from Billy. Both of them are sure Billy will regret it forever if he doesnโ€™t get the chance to say goodbye to his mom. Cane grows more irritated by the minute, wondering what Billy could possibly be doing thatโ€™s so important. The answer is currently being weighed, measured, and cooed over upstairs. Rather than wait, Cane decides to make his own travel arrangements.

Lily assures him she will be fine in Genoa City, but Cane keeps having flashbacks of Jill Abbott and his father. Lily reminds him that Jill is a fighter, and she can still surprise them. Later, Billy finally calls, and Cane gets a birth announcement instead of a travel plan. Cane congratulates him and assumes heโ€™s staying put. Billy doesnโ€™t want to leave Sally and the baby, but he needs to see his mom if these are her last days. He canโ€™t go tonight, but maybe tomorrow. He asks Cane to tell her he loves her, and that she has a new grandchild.

Young and the Restless Canadian Day Ahead (Y&R Canadian Day Ahead) The Abbott Family

The Abbotts Trade Jill Stories

Across the room, the Abbotts talk about the news of Jill and how hard it must be on Billy. They hate that heโ€™s hurting, and Traci Abbott hopes he makes amends while he still can. Traci and Ashley Abbott fill in Abby Newman on all their fights with โ€œbrazenโ€ Jill, and between the two sisters, there is enough material for a miniseries. Itโ€™s impossible to picture Jill as frail. Traci says the whole thing reminds her how important it is to repair old wounds the second you can.

Audra Weighs In on the Groom

Meanwhile, Coco and Audra wonder if Billy has found his bride yet. Coco asks Audra straight out if she likes him. Audra says itโ€™s too late to ask, then admits heโ€™s โ€œa good talker,โ€ a phrase carrying a lot of weight in that sentence. Theyโ€™ve had their issues, and she finds him annoying, but Sally knows his flaws and loves him anyway. His love for her is real, and Audra believes it will last.

Chelsea arrives and tells them to grab Shirley and head up to Sallyโ€™s suite. Later, back in the lounge, Audra comes down and announces to the guests that the baby has come. Jack Abbott calls his brother and tells him the whole family is eager to meet the baby.

Kyle Abbott Is Everyoneโ€™s Favorite Messenger

Kyle Abbott sidles up to Victoria Newman and fills her in on Jillโ€™s heart attack so she can tell the kids. Her heart breaks for Billy, and she leaves to find her children. Kyleโ€™s parents, Jack and Diane Jenkins, corner him about Victoria, and he insists he was only passing along the news about Jill. Jack thinks that was very considerate. Diane, who has a built-in radar for these things, does not look entirely convinced.

Kyle and Victoria meet again, and Victoria explains she hasnโ€™t told the kids yet because sheโ€™s waiting for Billyโ€™s go-ahead. In the lounge, Abby and Kyle talk about how crazy the day has been, and he asks her to dance. Her feet hurt, so she pushes him toward Victoria instead. The two dance awkwardly, and he asks if theyโ€™ve ever danced before. She canโ€™t remember. They have shared plenty, but apparently a dance floor isnโ€™t one of them.

Then Johnny Abbott calls to say he and Katie Abbott are heading to see their new sibling. Kyle guesses Victoria is free and asks if she wants to lie down. His definition of lying down is doing a lot of work. The two sneak into a different suite, and the lying down does not seem to involve much sleep.

Young and the Restless Canadian Day Ahead (Y&R Canadian Day Ahead) Lily Winters

Lily Winters Gets Her Results

Lily gets a notification that her results are in. Traci urges her to find Cane, and Lily tries calling, but nobody picks up, a phone-ignoring streak that is turning into a wedding tradition. Lily decides to look at the results without him. After she reads them, she rushes to the foyer to find Cane and explains her results have come in. Theyโ€™re negative. Cane spins her around. Sheโ€™s in the clear.
