Thursday, October 1: Dante Goes Straight at Sonny
The General Hospital spoilers October 1 fans have been bracing for are here, and they put Dante Falconeri face to face with the one suspect he can’t be neutral about. On Thursday, Dante confronts his father, Sonny Corinthos, over the Pentonville attack. It is the badge against the family, and this time the badge has seen the tape.
Tuesday is what lit the fuse. Detective Joe Fitzpatrick pulled footage from the Pentonville visiting room, and Dante recognized both men on it: Vito and Sully, who work for his father. You can relive that moment in our Tuesday recap. Justine was left dumbfounded.
The other half of the case comes from Curtis Ashford. He was beaten after stepping in to protect Jenz Sidwell, and he told police the ringleader said Sonny owed Sidwell this beating and more. From his hospital bed, Curtis told Justine, “Sonny set this up, so if Sidwell dies, Sonny will get exactly what he wanted.” Relive the attack itself if you can stomach it.

Sonny’s Alibi Is the Same Meeting on the Tape
Here is the part the teasers skip. Sonny doesn’t deny that meeting. He told Ric Lansing on Tuesday that he sent Vito to Sully so they could protect Sidwell, because he knew everyone would blame him if Sidwell got hurt. So the footage fits Sonny’s story just as neatly as it fits Dante’s suspicions.
Sonny’s argument is simple. “Sidwell doesn’t benefit me if he’s hurt or dead, especially now that my business is legitimized,” he told Ric. Ric floated another answer: Sully may have disobeyed orders. If that’s true, somebody got to Sonny’s man, and we’ve already laid out who might want Sonny to take the fall.
Ric also stepped in as Sonny’s lawyer when Joe showed up at the house with questions. My gut says that’s exactly why Thursday matters. Dante Falconeri is the one man Sonny can’t hand off to his lawyer.
Did Sonny Order the Pentonville Attack on General Hospital?
The show hasn’t said, and Sonny swears he didn’t. What Dante has is Curtis’s account of what the attackers said, plus footage of Vito and Sully together, and neither one shows Sonny giving an order. Sonny has been under suspicion since the attack, and the stakes keep climbing. Sidwell’s heart already stopped on Monday, and on Tuesday he was in surgery with his doctors unsure he would survive.
Justine Is the Skeptic in the Room
Now for the wrinkle. Justine Turner isn’t convinced. On Tuesday she told Dante that Curtis “could have heard what he expected to hear,” and she told Joe she needs physical evidence before anyone asks for a warrant. Dante shot back, “It sure sounds like you really want my father to be innocent.”
That jab lands harder than Dante may realize. Justine is secretly seeing Sonny, and that secret already puts her DA campaign at risk. The footage rattled her, but nothing on screen says she has changed her mind. If I know these writers, Justine cracks before Dante does.
The Son Who Stepped Back and Kept Digging
This is where it gets messy. Dante is acting PCPD commissioner again after Anna Devane handed him her badge and gun on September 10. When the Pentonville case landed, he stepped back because the suspect is his father, and he handed it to Joe. A day later he was standing next to Joe, naming his father’s men on the tape.
None of this is new territory for Dante Falconeri. He first came to Port Charles as an undercover cop building a case against Sonny, and Sonny shot him before learning Dante was his son. They have spent years rebuilding that bond. On Tuesday, Dante told Elizabeth nobody had more motive, means or opportunity than his father, and he pointed to the firebombing at Sonny’s house that nearly killed Michael.
Friday, October 2: Sonny Is Crushed
By Friday, Sonny is crushed. The show isn’t saying why, and there are two strong candidates. Either Justine walks away from their secret romance, or Dante Falconeri builds a case his father can’t talk his way out of. Reading between the lines, Thursday decides which one it is. If Dante walks out believing his father, Sonny still has a son in his corner. If he walks out a cop, Sonny’s denials stop working, and Friday’s crash makes perfect sense.
