A Shopping Trip at the Athletic Club
Monday on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers walks into the Genoa City Athletic Club with a checkbook and a very long memory. Once she gets Cane Ashby alone, she makes her pitch: she wants to buy every property he picked up when he came back to town, the athletic club included. These Young and the Restless spoilers put a one-and-done deal on the table, and Cane does not like the smell of it.
The scene opens with Cane and Billy Abbott playing nice. Billy says he wants Chancellor to succeed, and Cane is glad Billy dropped his fight with Lily Winters over the company. Then Phyllis sweeps in, brags that she will take Arabesque to heights nobody has seen, and reminds Cane what a good team they made. When the men needle her about her fling, she says Matt Clark is gone and she does not care. Our Canadian day-ahead recap of Phyllis shopping at the club has every jab.
Once Billy leaves, Cane pegs her as up to something. She swears Arabesque is fine and she is just streamlining. Then comes the offer, and Cane fires back that she burned him last time and he is thriving in spite of her. Before the scene ends, he guesses exactly what she is doing: running the very plan he abandoned.

The Plan Cane Walked Away From
Here is why that guess should rattle Genoa City. When Cane returned in June 2025 under the alias Aristotle Dumas, his company Arabesque quietly bought up local property, including the athletic club and Chancellor divisions that had been sold off. On the July 4, 2025 episode he laid out the whole scheme to Phyllis: take over Abbott Communications, Jabot, Chancellor and Newman Enterprises. She signed on as his inside woman.
Then she stabbed him. On the Dec 2, 2025 episode, Phyllis confessed she had stolen Cane’s AI program and handed it to Victor Newman in exchange for control of Jabot. They teamed up again to seize Newman Enterprises in January, until Victor had them both arrested in May. By June 11, Phyllis had given Newman back, and Victor rewarded her with Arabesque, a company he called a fixer-upper.
What properties did Cane Ashby buy on Young and the Restless?
The two holdings on record are the Genoa City Athletic Club and the Chancellor divisions Arabesque scooped up in July 2025. Those buys were the foundation of Cane’s four-company takeover plan. Now Phyllis Summers owns Arabesque and wants the rest of the puzzle.
Look at that old target list again. Chancellor is on it, and Cane now runs Chancellor as CEO for owner Lily. If Phyllis is dusting off his playbook, the first company in the crosshairs could be the one Cane goes to work at every morning. No wonder he read the offer as a threat and not a windfall.
Kyle and Victoria Christen Their Danger Zone
Across town, Kyle Abbott has scored a private apartment, and Victoria Newman cancels her meetings to see it. A game of Never Have I Ever played for clothes ends exactly where you would expect. Afterward, they agree nobody can ever know the place exists, and it becomes their “danger zone.” They also agree, very firmly, that they are not dating. It is all fun and games.
The move is no accident. On Friday, Matt and Phyllis Summers cornered Kyle outside a Riverbank Motel room while Victoria hid inside, a close call we covered in our piece on Matt Clark catching Kyle at the motel. Matt leaves town Monday. Phyllis stays, and she is the mother of Kyle’s ex-wife, Summer.
Phyllis Could Be Holding a Card on Two Families
My gut tells me Phyllis is not after real estate for its own sake. Jabot sits on that old hit list too, and Kyle works there while sleeping with the woman who runs Newman’s rival brand. If Phyllis ever figures out who was behind that motel door, she holds a card on two companies at once.
Don’t be surprised if Cane says no and then watches her like a hawk. The counter case is real: early previews talk about Phyllis and Cane finding common ground, which could mean a shared enemy instead of a war. Either way, Phyllis Summers just got dumped, got a company, and got an idea. That combination has never ended quietly.
