LILY WINTERS SAYS YES TO JABOT FOR ONE DAY ONLY, AND THE SHOOT PUTS HER RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF NIKKI AND DIANE’S WAR

TL;DR: Young and the Restless spoilers: Lily Winters agrees to model for Jabot Classic for one day only after Cane talks her into it. The yes lands as Nikki gears up to take on Diane, and Thursday’s photos already show Lily in her old Jabot look at Diane’s reunion.

Cane Talks Lily Into One Day as Jabot’s Face

It’s confirmed: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) said yes on Tuesday, November 3, to modeling for Jabot for one day only, and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is the man who talked her into it. Our Young and the Restless spoilers show why the timing matters. Lily runs Winters and owns Chancellor, and she just agreed to become the face of a brand at war.

At Crimson Lights, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) offers Lily what she calls a once-in-a-lifetime proposition: a photo shoot for Jabot Classic’s new lip line, set for the next day. Lily says no. She’s leaving town for Fairmont Crest with Devon Winters (Bryton James). Diane promises to work around her schedule and asks her to think it over. So that’s what Diane was dangling when she first pitched Lily over coffee.

Then Cane goes to work. He tells her it could be fun and could bring back happy memories of when they fell in love, back when she was the Fresh Face of Jabot. Lily wonders whether a CEO has any business in a modeling campaign, and she suspects his sweet talk is really about a proper goodbye before her trip. He keeps pushing until she agrees to revive her modeling career for one day only. They kiss goodbye just as Devon walks in.

Was Cane right to push Lily into Diane’s campaign? Write to our editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell us whether you’d have said yes.

Jabot Is Where Lily and Cane Fell in Love

This isn’t Lily’s first time in front of a Jabot camera. In January 2008, she won the Fresh Face of Jabot contest and became an exclusive Jabot model, the same month she and Cane shared their first kiss and first date. They married in 2009, married again on Valentine’s Day in 2012 and divorced in 2019. On Monday, Cane asked her to move in, and she asked for more time.

So Cane’s pitch is half business and half memory lane. A man who heard “not yet” on Monday got a yes on Tuesday, even if it went to Diane. Our readers have opinions about these two, and on our move-in poll, one reader wrote, “Lily is overthinking her relationship with Cane due to the history of lies but I do think she will say yes soon.” Another was less charmed and said that all he does is “worship at the altar of her feet.”

When Does Lily Do Her Jabot Photo Shoot on Young and the Restless?

No date has been announced, but the clues point to Thursday, November 5. Diane wanted to shoot the next day, then offered to work around the trip, and Lily spends Wednesday in Fairmont Crest with Devon. CBS says Diane hosts a reunion on Thursday. First-look photos show it at Crimson Lights, appearing to center on Jabot’s past models, with Lily Winters and Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) in looks from the eras when they were the faces of Jabot. Cane is there, and so is Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).

Here’s why one day is bigger than it sounds. On September 21, Nikki announced that Vibrante would launch next Valentine’s Day, and four days later, Diane declared that the debut would be a Valentine’s Day massacre. Now one spoiler report says the Jabot Classic campaign is a Valentine’s campaign built on the brand’s best-selling lip colors through the years. If that holds, Lily isn’t just posing for lipstick. She’s the face of Diane’s counterattack, on the holiday she once married Cane on.

Young and the Restless spoilers, Diane Jenkins and Nikki Newman face off as Jabot and Vibrante compete

Nikki Comes for Jabot on Wednesday

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has been gunning for Jabot since October 12, when she signed on for a Vibrante war with Diane as her favorite target. CBS says that on Wednesday, November 4, “Nikki sets the stage for a competition with Diane.” That hour already aired in Canada, where the two women clash, and our Canadian day-ahead has the whole scene.

Nobody has said yet how Nikki feels about Lily lending her face to Jabot. But if I know these writers, she’ll notice. Lily walks into Thursday’s reunion as Diane’s star, one day after Nikki and Diane go at it. She has no stake in a lipstick war, and in Genoa City that won’t save her.

Does the shoot drag her in? It already has. Lily Winters signed up for one day, but Diane only needs one great picture, and Nikki only needs one reason to take it personally.

Is Lily smart to help Diane, or did Cane just hand her a target? Make your case in the comments.

Cane Got His Yes, and Diane Got Her Secret Weapon

Cane wanted Lily to remember the girl who fell for him, and Diane wanted a face nobody in Genoa City can argue with. They both got what they wanted on Tuesday. The only person who didn’t sign up for a war is Lily Winters, and she’s the one standing in front of the camera.

Is Lily’s one day a sweet trip down memory lane or a front-row seat to Nikki and Diane’s next fight? Come pick a side with us on our Facebook page.
