ADAM ASKS CHELSEA LAWSON FOR ANOTHER BABY THE SAME DAY BILLY COMES HOME TO RUBY

TL;DR: Young and the Restless spoilers: On Monday, November 2, Adam suggests another child to Chelsea Lawson right after she learns he visited Sally and Ruby. She said no in June. Billy comes home the same day and says Adam has boundary issues.

Adam Asks Chelsea for Another Baby on Monday

Will Chelsea Lawson say no to Adam Newman‘s baby push? Adam makes his move on Monday, November 2, and our Young and the Restless spoilers for the next two weeks have Chelsea making the case against another pregnancy. The episode already aired in Canada. Back home after a tense breakfast at the ranch, Chelsea asks why he went to see Sally and Ruby without telling her.

Adam says he worried she would get the wrong idea. Chelsea points out that keeping it from her is what gave her the wrong idea, and she demands every detail. So Adam describes burping Ruby and the baby falling asleep on his shoulder, and then he floats it: maybe they should have another child. Our Canadian day-ahead has every beat, and the episode ends on Chelsea’s stunned face.

She has heard this before. On June 4, talk about their son, Connor Newman, led Adam to ask if she had thought about another child. Chelsea asked if it was because Sally was having a baby with Billy. Adam denied it, she told him she doesn’t want to go through another pregnancy, and he apologized and backed off.

Is Adam asking for a baby or grieving one? Write to our editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell us what you think he really wants.

Victor Spills the Visit and Adam Admits He Feels Tied to Ruby

Chelsea only found out because Victor Newman had Adam followed and raised the visits over breakfast, right in front of her. She defended Adam anyway, saying she is proud of how heroic he was when Sally Spectra gave birth. Once they left, Victor noted that Adam clearly never told Chelsea. It was not the first time he kept Sally from her: he told Chelsea he’d been at a meeting after a morning with Sally and Ruby.

On Friday, October 30, Adam told Nick Newman he feels tied to Ruby and driven to protect her, and Nick told him to let it go, as our October 30 recap shows. Our readers keep circling the same question. When we asked whether Adam is still in love with Sally, the answers split, and plenty saw a grieving father instead: “He’s just attached to ruby because he delivered her.” Another reader put it bluntly: “Baby is not Ava.”

Will Chelsea Lawson Say No to Adam Newman’s Baby Push on Young and the Restless?

Everything on the record says yes. Chelsea Lawson said no in June, and Monday’s answer is a stunned look, not a yes. The preview for the week shows where her head is: at Society, she tells Abby Winters she would be the one carrying the child, and the one stuck with the insomnia, the indigestion and the nausea. On Tuesday, November 3, CBS says “Chelsea receives mixed signals from Adam.” Gossip sites are already floating a breakup, but nothing CBS has put out says they split.

Chelsea Lawson has also been here with Adam before, in a way nobody seems to remember. On April 9, 2012, Adam delivered her son by Billy in a cabin, and Victoria named the baby John. Johnny Abbott has been raised by Billy and Victoria ever since. Fourteen years later, Adam delivered another of Billy’s babies, Ruby. Chelsea knows exactly what it looks like when Adam bonds with a child that isn’t his.

Billy Comes Home the Same Day and Says Adam Has Boundary Issues

Does Billy’s return make it worse? It lands in the very same episode. Billy Abbott walks in Monday, holds Ruby and rubs Sally’s feet, and then Sally mentions that Adam came by to return Ruby’s bootie. Billy worries that Adam has boundary issues and attachment issues, and Sally insists it won’t be a problem. By Wednesday, “Billy creates boundaries between Adam and Sally,” and on Friday, “Billy loses patience with Adam,” which ends in a big confrontation.

That timing is the whole story. Adam asks Chelsea for a baby on the same day Billy starts closing the door on Ruby. If Billy cuts off the visits, Adam is left at home with Chelsea Lawson and a question she already answered once. My gut tells me Tuesday’s mixed signals are Adam trying to have it both ways.

Should Chelsea give Adam another baby, or is he looking for a replacement for Ruby? Make your case in the comments.

Catch every twist in the full two weeks of Young and the Restless spoilers before Billy draws his line.

Chelsea Already Gave Adam Her Answer

Chelsea didn’t stutter in June, and a sleepy newborn on Adam’s shoulder shouldn’t change that. The only thing that changed is Adam, and what changed him is a baby girl who belongs to Sally and Billy. If she says no again, she isn’t saying no to a child. She’s saying no to filling the hole Ava left in him.

Will Chelsea hold her ground, or will Adam talk her into it once Billy shuts the door? Tell us on our Facebook page.
