Beyond the Gates Recap November 3, 2026: Martin Richardson Wins His Election…Despite a Fake Sabotage Video of Smitty
This Beyond the Gates Recap catches Martin’s election win, the fake Smitty video scandal, and a long-awaited party invite for Eva.
MARTIN WINS BIG IN THIS BEYOND THE GATES RECAP
TL;DR: This Beyond the Gates Recap catches Martin Richardson winning his election by a wide margin after a viral AI video featuring Smitty crashed the Dupree election party. Hayley Lawson’s baby news kept the Hamiltons spinning, Eva Thomas finally landed an invitation she was not sure she wanted, and Tyrell Richardson got caught at Orphey Gene’s between two girls.

Martin Wins Despite the Fake Video
Election day on Beyond the Gates started with Martin Richardson smothered in family love before anyone could show him a poll, which is exactly how every candidate should begin. Kendra, at the brownstone, pried a snack out of Tyrell Richardson’s hands, Samantha Richardson jogged in to join the crowd, and Martin, overflowing with thankfulness, herded them all into what he called a “cuddle huddle.” No candidate has ever lost after a cuddle huddle. (Please do not fact-check that.) Nicole Dupree Richardson swept in to interrogate Tyrell about his grades, Kat Richardson and Ted Richardson strolled in, and Samantha begged Kat for fashion advice, because democracy is nothing without a good outfit. Ted and Nicole compared notes on the watch party and agreed their partners were conveniently busy, which is the most civilized way for exes to say “awkward.”
Over at Orphey Gene’s, June Hughes was in no mood when Jacob Hawthorne and Naomi Hamilton Hawthorneannounced their plans for the watch party, and she snapped at Jacob, who has not exactly been winning popularity contests since he arrested Smitty. Jacob owned up to being less than gentle, and although nobody planned to drag him to the party, he wanted Smitty and Martin both to understand he was in their corner. After he headed back to work, Naomi promised June she would clear Smitty’s name, and the two of them picked over the evidence and wondered whether the prosecutors realized the footage was bogus. June floated a theory that somebody wanted Smitty to stay a suspect straight through election day, and in Fairmont Crest, a coincidence is only a plot twist in a nametag.
By the time the party moved to the Dupree estate, the race was such a nail-biter that Anita Dupree and Vernon Dupreewondered if anyone would get an answer before bedtime. Devon Winters phoned in his good wishes, which is the nicest way to phone it in. Smitty studied the sad voter turnout, blamed himself, and wished he had been cleared before anyone picked up a ballot. When Jacob turned up and offered to leave, Smitty told him to stay, which was big of a man whose arrest Jacob had personally handled.
Then Tyrell and Samantha came barreling in with an AI-generated video tearing across the internet, with Smitty apparently dropping pills into a ballot box. The Duprees, being the Duprees, immediately started plotting lawsuits. Smitty called Martin, who decided the campaign would say nothing about the video, a bold strategy for something already loud on every phone in the building. Vernon grumbled that voters dislike stunts, Chelsea Hamilton pinned the whole mess on Smitty, and Kat jumped down her cousin’s throat in his defense.
Things got uglier once Izaiah Hawthorne told Chelsea to sit down, and she responded by blurting out that Jacob had confessed to his wife he was not sure Smitty was innocent. A room built for a victory party suddenly wanted a cross-examination. Everyone demanded to know whether it was true, Naomi marched her husband toward the exit, and Chelsea apologized to Anita for the scene. Her Gran forgave the outburst as empathy, a generous word for lobbing a grenade into a watch party.
Nicole quietly admitted to Vernon that she would breathe easier if Martin lost, a spicy thing for a candidate’s mother to say before the results were in. Win or lose, they agreed, Martin needed to learn that Hayley Lawson knew his secret.
Martin walked in as Smitty sprinted to block the door before Jacob and Naomi could leave, swearing he had never paid off a source or passed anyone a pill. Before the debate could get ugly, Martin’s phone rang with his opponent on the line, conceding. Martin had won by a wide margin, and a room that had spent half an hour itching to sue, shout, and storm out burst into applause. Sometimes the best defense is a landslide.

Hayley’s Baby Keeps Everyone Spinning
Pregnancy news travels fast in Fairmont Crest, and Hayley’s was still ricocheting around the Hamilton family. At Chelsea’s place, she told her mother, Dani Dupree, that the baby was real this time, since Bill Hamilton had been in the room for the doctor’s confirmation and listened to the heartbeat himself. Hayley had practically begged for the test, which is not how con artists usually behave. Andre Richardson walked in, and Dani informed her husband that the liar had, for once, not lied. She wanted everyone focused on the present rather than waiting around for a paternity result, and Chelsea grumbled that the present was the problem.
Anita, back at the family estate, insisted Bill’s attorneys could handle the baby business, so Naomi and Dani needed to steer clear. Dani, who has never taken that kind of advice quietly, told her mother about Bill’s fear of turning into his own father, who had not wanted him either. Anita suggested Nicole could recommend a therapist, and Dani said that was not hers to decide, while Vernon and Andre agreed to dodge the latest drama, though Andre pointed out that Bill had handed Dani a living reminder of everything he put her through.

Eva Finally Gets an Invite
Martin, ever the careful politician, wanted Kat’s blessing before inviting Eva Thomas to the family party. Kat said she did not feel like dealing with Eva that day, Martin offered to drop the idea, and Kat admitted she had only been testing him. Better to have Eva at a private party than out where a reporter could corner her, she reasoned, though “mommy delulu” was not invited under any circumstances.
Back home, Eva talked the party over with Izaiah, and he guessed Kat was the reason she was dragging her feet. She grumbled about being left off the list, and Izaiah promised it was a slip of Martin’s memory. Then Martin phoned with an invitation, plus-one included, and once Eva heard Kat was fine with it, she said yes. Izaiah wondered if Kat was softening, but Eva refused to let herself hope too hard. Kat, she admitted, was the one person who could not move past the past, and she could not really blame her, but she would give anything for the closeness Kat shared with her family. Izaiah was convinced the two would have been thick as thieves had they grown up together.
When Eva strolled into the Dupree estate on Izaiah’s arm, he nudged Kat to say it to Eva’s face that she was okay with her being there, excellent advice that no Richardson has ever followed on the first try. After Chelsea’s grenade went off, Eva and Izaiah wondered whether they should leave, but Kat asked them to stay, because they were family.
Tyrell Gets Caught With His Ex
Tyrell and Samantha strolled into Orphey Gene’s with a plan, and the plan lasted about four minutes. Tyrell bumped into his ex, Jessica, muffin in hand, while Samantha tried to distract Chessie, Tyrell’s date. Samantha’s distraction technique would not have fooled a goldfish. Chessie marched over for a heated chat about Jessica’s plans to return from UCLA, then reminded Tyrell they had a family to meet and dragged him out. Samantha wished she could have invited Jessica along, but Jessica had no interest in tagging along on Tyrell’s date, and June steered Samantha away before she could make it worse.

Fairmont Crest Counts Its Votes
Martin got his big win, but the people who love him most are still sorting out who believes whom. Hayley’s pregnancy hangs over the Hamiltons like a storm cloud, Kat and Eva may be inching toward a truce, and Tyrell is learning the hard way that two girls at one diner is one too many.
