Summer & “Her Son’s” Loose Ends, Forgotten Like Mommy Tara Locke
Well, for those Young & the Restless fans who were taking a drink every time Summer Newman by Allison Lanier, said “my son,” it’s time to sober up. Allison Lanier is out at Young & the Restless & Summer is out as Harrison’s mother, only Harrison doesn’t know that yet. Will Kyle drop Allison as Harrison’s mother as he did with Harrison’s biological mother, Tara Locke? Will Kyle’s girlfriend Claire be Mom #3 to Harrison? It’s almost like Diane should have gone through with installing a revolving door at the Abbott Estate on Y&R after all…
…& Behind Door #3 Is Another Mother for Harrison
Young & the Restless fans know Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will be in Europe on business indefinitely, but little Harrison (Redding Munsell) has not yet been informed. The last time Harrison had a mother leave for a bit, she was deleted from his life. Not one Abbott has talked with Harrison ever about his biological mother, the woman who raised him for the first three years of his life, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). There’s not a photo of her by his bed or in his room.
Now that Summer will be in Europe recruiting talent for Marchetti & will most likely relocate the company headquarters to Milan, where the company started. She’ll conveniently find a new Creative Director & a few posh designers who can’t for their own reasons relocate to Genoa City, she’ll be parked in Milan for the long haul.
Tara gave birth to Harrison & has been forgotten. Summer’s adoption of Harrison has always been sketch. Will Harrison now go without a mother altogether, or is Momma #3 already in the works on Y&R?
Kyle’s New Roommate, He’ll Wait for Summer’s Return (NOT)
Summer Newman not taking a minute or more to look for local talent to replace Cheslea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) & Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at Marchetti makes as much sense as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) committing to waiting for Summer to return from Europe to let Harrison know he & Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be moving in together.
Summer could have asked the fabulous Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bergman) for leads, as Fenmore’s is also underneath the Abbott Umbrella & she’s a fabulous person & friend. Also, are there not any other employees at Marchetti in Genoa City who could have been considered for a promotion? What about Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson)? Does Chloe even have any idea what is going on at her job &/or with her best friends with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in common, who she works with at Marchetti?
As for Kyle Abbott not making sense, Young & the Restless fans are used to it & have a tolerance now. Enough said.
Unless Audra Charles Gets in the Way, Momma Claire on the Way
Yes, Claire Newman’s grandfather Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) made a deal with Kyle Abbott’s last lover, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), to break them up, but will it work? It’s not Claire’s first day dealing with Audra Charles. They once worked together closely at Newman Media. Something tells many Young & the Restless fans that Audra will fail at breaking up Claire & Kyle, ergo failing at her new cosmetic company that hasn’t even started yet.
Claire has already been Nanny-of-the-Year to Harrison & now is Kyle’s dream woman. She’s more than set to be Harrison’s next mom on Young & the Restless. That’s if Tara Locke doesn’t return to finally pick up her son where she left off.
