CARLY SPENCER GETS PINNED IN THIS GENERAL HOSPITAL RECAP
TL;DR: This General Hospital Recap catches Carly Spencer sweating in an interrogation room as the police tie a bracelet photo to Jack Brennan’s body. Sonny Corinthos kept his distance while his daughter asked questions, Josslyn Jacks handed over a water bottle with a DNA catch, and Heather Webber told Anna Devane she was staying in Port Charles.

Carly Sweats Over a Bracelet
Carly Spencer has spent decades being the smartest person in any room, and on General Hospital the room in question was an interrogation box at the PCPD with the lighting turned cruel. Joe Fitzpatrick and Molly Lansing-Davis slid a bracelet with a big letter C across the table and asked if it rang any bells. Carly shook her head with the confidence of a woman who has fibbed to far better interrogators. Her face told a different story, because a flash of memory hit her: she had regifted the trinket, a present from Jack Brennan, along to someone else whose name also starts with C, Charlotte Cassadine. Oops.
Jason Morgan appeared at the precinct next and went looking for her lawyer, but Carly couldn’t reach her, which is a fantastic way to end up alone with two detectives and a theory. Jason didn’t believe Carly was a killer, though he wondered whether she was shielding Valentin Cassadine. Dante Falconeri told him the best thing he could do was talk her into working with the police.
When the first round wrapped, Molly informed Dante that Carly had plainly recognized the bracelet no matter what she claimed, and Dante wanted something sturdier than a hunch to establish it was hers. Joe grumbled that Valentin was giving the cops the same stony silence, and Dante groaned that Carly would never crack while she was protecting him.
Then Jason got his own turn in the box with Carly, and the pair spoke in code so thick it could have aired on a spy channel. He let her know he was aware that Danny Morgan and Charlotte had found Jack’s lifeless body in the Metro Court pool. They danced around the bracelet being Jack’s present to Carly, and around how badly Danny and Charlotte needed shielding.
Carly also apologized for dragging Jason into this mess right after the anniversary of Sam’s death, a rough day to land in a police station. Jason said he and Danny had spent hours talking about Sam, and he thanked Carly for all she had done, and still did, for his boy.
Back in the squad room, an early autopsy result landed in the laps of Dante, Molly and Joe: Jack had drowned, and nothing suggested a struggle. Since the hotel’s pool had been open for the last time the night Jack was last spotted there, the trio pieced together a story in which Carly took the Metro Court cameras offline, did away with her ex, and then dragged him out to the preserve with Valentin’s help.
Joe then swaggered back in, claiming he finally had what the case required, and the guy actually delivered: a photo from Carly’s own social media showing her with Josslyn Jacks, the exact bracelet she had denied knowing sparkling on her wrist. The timing was exquisite. Carly had been telling Jason a minute earlier that somebody needed to steer the PCPD toward Drew Cain and Ava Jerome, and instead the cops steered straight into her jewelry box.
Do you think Carly can steer the cops toward Drew and Ava before that photo seals her fate? Email us your theories at amber@soapoperamagazine.com, we want to hear every one.

Sonny Stays Out of It
Sonny Corinthos drew the short straw of explaining to Donna Corinthos why her mom wasn’t coming home: Carly was in police custody, which meant extra Sonny time. He promised Donna that Carly had top people in her corner, and Donna, a kid with zero patience for half measures, demanded that Justine Turner be called in too. Sonny claimed Justine was swamped with work, fibbing to cover a breakup he had no intention of explaining to a child. When Ric Lansing showed up, Donna blindsided her uncle with a direct question about whether he’d spring her mom from jail. After she skipped away, Sonny told Ric the whole Carly and Valentin saga and said he was steering clear to avoid complicating her situation.
Ric had news about Josslyn’s vendetta, and Sonny crossed his fingers for good news, since Josslyn’s partner in crime had already refused his generous offer. Thanks to a bug Ric had planted in that partner’s briefcase, he’d learned that Jude, son of Jerry Jacks, was in town, and with a father like that, Jude seemed destined to make Josslyn’s life miserable. Jude was also claiming to be the biological father of Phoebe and wanted the baby handed over, which Sonny shrugged off as a shakedown for cash. But when Sonny vowed he’d do anything for Brook Lynn Quartermaine, Ric reminded him he’d left the business behind. Sonny’s answer was that business had nothing to do with it, because this was personal.

A Water Bottle Heist
Brook Lynn caught up with Josslyn near the boathouse once her run ended, bottle of water in hand like a very nice, very obvious trap. She asked what Josslyn knew about Jude, and Josslyn agreed to share anything she uncovered on her own, then floated a theory that her cousin was also after a piece of JJE. Brook Lynn made a big show of tossing the nearly empty bottle in the recycling, but Josslyn saw straight through it. She called out the clumsy DNA grab and then handed the bottle over anyway, giving Brook Lynn what she needed to check whether Phoebe and Jude shared blood. Josslyn also warned that, based on what her father had said about this cousin, Brook Lynn’s family had a battle ahead.
Ava was at Miller & Davis when Alexis Davis told her that Jude was insisting he was Phoebe’s dad, and Alexis asked Ava to connect her with Ethan Lovett so he could take a fresh paternity test and flatten Jude’s story. Ava hinted that hunting Ethan down was a terrible idea, and a baffled Alexis asked if that meant he’d lied about being Phoebe’s father. Ava neither confirmed nor denied; she only cautioned that Alexis might hate the answer. Then Alexis lobbed a second bomb: the PCPD had found Brennan’s body. Ava played dumb, which Alexis did not buy for a second, and she insisted on hearing why her client never mentioned that Jack wound up dead following their drinks the night he vanished. Ava’s answer was a shrug about why she needed attorney client privilege, and then she bolted.

Heather Plans to Stay
Trina Robinson paid her mother a visit at G.H. with news that Heather Webber had returned to Port Charles, and Portia Robinson reacted as if someone had announced a plague. She refused to believe Heather meant her daughter any good, particularly once Trina confessed to having a stalker and pegged Heather as the culprit. Isaiah Gannon floated the gentler theory that the flowers and the eerie fan site could belong to an ordinary obsessed admirer, yet neither woman wanted Heather lingering, and Portia vowed that they would do all they could to see her off.
Meanwhile at Bobbie’s, Anna Devane nearly choked at the sight of Heather. Heather, delighted to bump into her dear “friend,” announced that she’d bought Wyndemere to live near her loved ones, particularly Ace, since a certain romance had gone cold. She was sorry to hear Ace was away in Ireland with relatives but determined to grow close to her grandson while making up for the harm she had caused. Anna tried to talk her out of it, warning that crowding Ace, nearly a teenager, could backfire and push away the family around him. A visit would be smarter, Anna suggested. Heather granted that Anna had a point, but she refused to surrender another minute with her grandson.
