General Hospital Spoilers: Heather Webber Says She Is Cured, and Port Charles Erupts at Her Return
General Hospital spoilers: Heather Webber says she is cured of the cobalt that freed her in 2024. Will she stay reformed or relapse?
HEATHER WEBBER’S COBALT CURE GOES BACK ON TRIAL IN PORT CHARLES
TL;DR: Heather Webber is back, and Alley Mills says Heather believes she is cured. The cobalt poisoning that freed her in 2024 is the whole case for trusting her, and this week Trina, Portia, Anna, Emma and Gio all test it.
The Hook Came Back in Gucci
The General Hospital spoilers start with an entrance. On Friday, October 30, Heather Webber strolled into the Cats Eye Lounge as Trina Robinson and Gio Palmieri wrapped their song, clapping and calling out “bravo!” Trina was speechless. Our October 30 recap has the whole scene.
Alley Mills says the woman in the doorway is a new Heather. “As far as Heather is concerned, she’s cured,” Mills told TV Insider. “Now, she would never hurt anybody. She just has to convince everybody else of that.” Note the fine print: that is Heather’s verdict on Heather, and Port Charles has not signed off.
The Hip Implant Is the Whole Defense
To judge the cure, go back to the case that freed her. Heather’s lawyer, Ric Lansing, argued that cobalt poisoning from a faulty hip implant drove the Hook killings. Mills puts it plainly: “When she broke her hip and had that hip replacement, that’s when things started getting really muddled and dark in her mind.”
Here is the part most people forget. On September 23, 2024, Portia Robinson flashed back to changing Heather’s cobalt results. Brook Kerr told Soap Opera Digest that Portia wanted to “leave no room for chance,” because “Heather is a threat, and that threat is not gone because Esme is dead.” That is Esme Prince, Heather’s daughter, presumed dead since she went overboard on a Paris river cruise in January 2024.
On October 3, 2024, Ric’s new lab results did not match the hospital’s and pointed straight at cobalt poisoning. On October 22, Heather’s sentence was vacated. By October 28 she had left for Sedona with her son Steven, promising her grandson Ace, “I’ll be back.”
So the only person ever caught cooking Heather’s numbers was Portia, not Heather. The real results back the cure. That is why a relapse is a tougher sell than it sounds: with the implant gone, the writers would need a brand new reason for the Hook to swing again, or they would have to tear up the science that set her free.

Is Heather Webber Really Cured on General Hospital?
In the reformed column, the cobalt is out of her body, she spent two years off screen in Arizona, and she came home with money instead of a weapon. “She’s really rich, and that’s been totally fun,” Mills said, adding that Heather is like “one of those dolls outside the gas station. You throw them down, and they pop back up. I feel like Heather is kind of like that now, but in Gucci.”
Now the relapse column. One sweeps preview making the rounds warns that she “could also go ‘off the rails again.'” Mills herself admits Heather “doesn’t really have a ton of boundaries and social awareness and softness.” And she walked into Trina’s world just as a stalker known only as Alan Smith keeps sending roses, the mystery we laid out in Trina’s stalker and Alan Smith.
My gut says the writers keep Heather Webber clean and let Port Charles do the damage. That stalker has been working since July, while Heather was still off screen, and we asked whether she is only the decoy in the red herring question. A cured woman everyone treats like a killer is juicier than one more stabbing spree.

Five Days to Prove It
The test starts Monday, November 2, when Trina is stunned by an announcement from Heather. What she says is still under wraps. On Tuesday, Portia is livid and Anna Devane runs into Heather. By Thursday, Emma Scorpio-Drake and Gio are suspicious.
Mills promises Heather will not shrink. “Heather is going to stand up to Trina, she’s going to stand up to Portia,” she said, and to Britt Westbourne, too. “Every day, somebody new tells her how horrible she is.” Heather Webber just hopes people “will understand and forgive her.” Track every day of it in our two-week General Hospital spoilers and our comings and goings for the week.

Heather Stays Cured and Port Charles Cracks First
Our take: Heather Webber stays reformed, at least through sweeps. The 2024 lab fight made the cure canon, and Portia, not Heather, is the one with altered results in her past. Undoing that would cheapen the story that freed her.
The danger is everyone around her. Trina, Portia and Emma are primed to see the Hook in every smile, and someone could get hurt chasing the wrong villain. Team Cured or Team Relapse? Pick a side on our Facebook page.
