TAYLOR HAYES WANTS THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND STEFFY HAS MORE THAN ONE SECRET

TL;DR: Spoilers say Steffy tells Ridge and Taylor Hayes about the surrogacy on Wednesday, November 4, and on Thursday the truth begins to unravel as Taylor pushes her daughter to come clean. Does Steffy tell her mother everything, or only the story Finn already bought?

Thursday, the Shrink Starts Asking Questions

The newest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have Taylor pushing Steffy to come clean on Thursday, November 5, as the truth begins to unravel. Taylor Hayes and Ridge Forrester demand answers, and the preview puts it plainly: the shrink presses her daughter to spill.

Here is the build. On Tuesday, Steffy Forrester Finnegan once again considers coming clean about her pregnancy. On Wednesday, John “Finn” Finnegan tries to calm her nerves, and then she drops her bombshell on her parents at the cliff house. They are blindsided. “You know you can tell us anything,” Taylor tells her in the promo.

What Steffy tells them is the surrogacy: that she is carrying a baby for Carter Walton and Daphne Rose Walton. That is the news that has Ridge ordering Carter over to Steffy’s house. It is not the night Steffy spent with Carter in August, and it is not the fact that she believes the baby is his.

Would you tell your mother the whole truth if it could wreck two marriages? Write to me at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell me what Steffy should do.

Taylor Hayes Has Been Asking Since August

Steffy can fool a husband who wants peace. Her mother is a psychiatrist, and she has been circling for two months. On August 28 Taylor said Steffy hadn’t been herself since Monaco. On September 23 she sensed something taking up more space inside her daughter, and on October 7 she asked flat out, “Is there something going on that I don’t know about?” Steffy said nothing, then fought off a panic attack alone.

Taylor blamed Sheila and Monaco. Now she gets a new answer, and it doesn’t fit. The panic started in August, weeks before anyone said the word surrogate. A mother who reads people for a living should hear that gap right away.

Does Steffy Tell Taylor the Truth About Carter?

Not on any calendar yet. The previews stop at Thursday’s push, and Friday, November 6, has Carter and Steffy still under major pressure, which means the secret is still standing as the week ends. Circulating spoiler chatter only asks whether Steffy might eventually confess to her mother and swear her to secrecy.

But Taylor has the one thing Finn didn’t: a calendar. Finn said no to the surrogacy on September 23 and left for a medical conference that same day. Carter told Daphne the implantation happened on October 2. Finn didn’t come home until October 16, so Steffy supposedly went through with it nine days after her husband refused, while he was out of town. Taylor Hayes is not going to let that slide.

The weeks don’t line up either. By the cover story’s own clock, Steffy should be about seven and a half weeks along on Thursday. Count from mid-August and she is closer to thirteen and a half, a gap our readers spotted weeks ago. One reader on our Facebook page asked why they thought Finn wouldn’t figure it out when he is a doctor, and another wanted to know why nobody ran an ultrasound to see how far along she is.

Taylor brings one more thing to the table: history. She carried and raised Jack, the son born of the egg mix-up that made Brooke Logan his biological mother. She knows exactly what a complicated pregnancy story sounds like, and what it costs when the truth comes out late.

Why Taylor Hayes Could Get the Truth First

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood said this fall that Steffy now sees “all these people that will be hurt if the truth came out.” Finn told her “I get it” on October 26, as our October 26 recap laid out, and Li Finnegan heard a heartbeat on October 23 that came in strong. Neither one counted backward. If anyone breaks Steffy, my gut tells me it is the woman she has always run to.

The catch is timing. The same Thursday, Deacon Sharpe, the man Taylor is seeing, is thrown by a surprise move from Sheila Carter. Taylor is fighting on two fronts, and a distracted mother is exactly what Carter needs. If Steffy does confess, would Taylor keep it from Ridge, or from Finn? Don’t be surprised if that becomes the real fight.

Should Taylor tell Finn if Steffy confesses, or keep her daughter’s secret? Make your case in the comments.

Steffy Can Fool Two Doctors but Not Her Mother

Finn wanted to believe. Li heard a heartbeat and said wow. Ridge will want someone to blame, and Carter is standing right there. Taylor is different. She has been asking the same question since August, and this week she finally gets an answer that doesn’t add up.

We say Steffy cracks for her mother before she ever cracks for Finn, and then Taylor holds the most dangerous secret in Los Angeles. Will Steffy tell Taylor everything, or lie to her face one more time? Tell us on our Facebook page.
