TRACY QUARTERMAINE HAS THE MONEY, THE LAWYERS AND THE ADOPTION PAPERS, BUT ONE OF HER WEAPONS COULD BLOW UP IN HER HAND

TL;DR: Jude came to the Quartermaine door for “my daughter,” and on Thursday Tracy Quartermaine gears up for a fight. Her best weapon is Phoebe’s adoption decree. Her weakest spot is Chase.

Jude Rang the Bell at the Wrong House

Tracy Quartermaine and Jude are on a collision course on General Hospital, and it started at her own front door. On October 28 Tracy won the vote that folded Deception into ELQ over Lucy Coe‘s “Absolutely not.” Minutes later Brook Lynn Quartermaine opened the mansion door to Jude, who announced, “I’m here to see my daughter.”

He named no child. He did not have to. Phoebe Chase was adopted in August, and her biological father has never been named on screen. We broke down Jude’s demand at the door the day it aired.

Thursday’s previews say the Quartermaines are rocked to their core, Jude makes some claims, and Tracy gears up for a major fight. No preview names her target in plain words, but it is the same episode, and spoiler chatter has her standing against Jude into November. So here is her war chest, ranked by what she can actually use. Follow every beat in our two-week spoilers.

The Papers, the House, the Lawyer and the Money

Her best weapon is the dullest one in the mansion. On August 4, Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase became Phoebe’s legal parents, and that decree does not care who knocks. Real law leans toward Tracy Quartermaine here. In Lehr v. Robertson, a 1983 New York case, the Supreme Court held that an unmarried biological father who never stepped up was not owed a say in his child’s adoption.

Number two is the house: Monica’s will left the Quartermaine mansion to Tracy, so she decides who gets past that front door. Number three is the lawyer. Ric Lansing already represents Brook Lynn from the divorce, and he fights dirty for a living. Number four is the money: ELQ just swallowed Deception, and the only address anyone has for Jude is a Metro Court suite.

The Dirt Sitting Right Under Her Nose

Weapon five is dirt, and Jude leaves a trail. He picked up Britt Westbourne at the Brown Dog, refused to trade names and balked at being called Jane. On October 21 he extended his hotel stay with a pistol sitting next to his watch. Tracy has seen none of it. Britt has, and she is the doctor who called Delilah Wilson‘s time of death the day Phoebe was born.

Weapon six is muscle. Jason Morgan voted with the Quartermaines a week after Tracy put him on the spot about Lucy, and Lucy sneered that he was “just a Quartermaine after all.” Circulating spoiler chatter has floated Tracy leaning on Jason to make Jude go away. If I know Tracy, she orders the background check first and asks the favor second.

What Can Tracy Quartermaine Use Against Jude on General Hospital?

The papers, the house, Ric, ELQ money and whatever Britt knows. The catch is buried in weapon one. Phoebe’s adoption rests on Ethan Lovett‘s paternity claim, and in June he swapped his DNA swab for a sample from the PCPD evidence room. We laid out how that fake test could unravel this morning.

Ethan, Ava Jerome and Hudson Parker know the truth. Nothing on screen shows Tracy Quartermaine does. New York lets a court set aside an adoption for fraud, so the paper she waves in Jude’s face could be the paper that sinks her. And on Wednesday Alexis Davis, who handled that adoption, took Ava on as a client.

What Brook Lynn Risks With the Divorce Signed

Here is the twist Tracy built herself. Brook Lynn and Chase signed their divorce in the Dominican Republic and split Phoebe 50/50. On the flight home Brook Lynn heard a message from Tracy saying she was doing the right thing. A divorce does not undo an adoption, so Chase is still Phoebe’s legal father with half the custody.

That makes him the man Tracy needs most, and he is done with her family. Chase told Dante he hesitated over the papers but could not forgive the Quartermaines. In our custody war breakdown, Tracy wanted Brook Lynn suing for full custody. Now she needs that ex standing shoulder to shoulder with Brook Lynn, or Jude plays them against each other.

Could Brook Lynn bolt with Phoebe instead? Circulating spoiler chatter floats it. With a 50/50 deal on the books, running would hand Jude and Chase the same weapon, and Tracy Quartermaine knows exactly how a runaway mother looks to a judge. Whether Jude turns out to be a long-lost Jacks or a stranger with a grudge, the Quartermaines win this only together.

Tracy Has the Checkbook, but Chase Holds Half of Phoebe

Our money is on Tracy in round one. She owns the door, she has Ric on speed dial, and Jude has a hotel key and a sad story. The danger is round two, when somebody asks whose DNA really sits in Phoebe’s file.

Team Tracy says a Quartermaine never loses a war. Team Chase says she already lost the one ally who matters. Which side are you on? Pick yours on our Facebook page.
