GENERAL HOSPITAL’S SONNY CORINTHOS IS READY TO DESTROY ALEXIS DAVIS TO PROTECT MICHAEL

TL;DR: Sonny Corinthos is panicking as Willow’s verdict looms on General Hospital. With Alexis Davis having painted Michael as the alternate suspect, Sonny may be ready to sacrifice an ally to save his son’s reputation and freedom.

Sonny’s Worst Nightmare Is Unfolding

The walls are closing in on the Corinthos family, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is NOT handling it well. As the jury deliberates in Willow Cain’s attempted murder trial on General Hospital, one thing has become crystal clear: if Willow walks, Michael is next in line for the chopping block.

And whose brilliant legal strategy put him there? That would be Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Look, I get it. Alexis is Willow’s defense attorney. Her JOB is to create reasonable doubt. But pointing the finger directly at Sonny’s son? At MICHAEL? That’s a move that has dangerous consequences, and Sonny Corinthos knows it. The mob boss is protective of his family to a fault, and he’s allergic to losing control of any narrative. Right now? He’s losing control of EVERYTHING.

Alexis Knows the Truth — And It’s Eating Her Alive

Here’s where things get really messy. On January 13, Alexis confided in Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) that she believes Willow actually shot Drew. She said it out loud. She KNOWS her client is guilty. And yet, she’s spent weeks in that courtroom systematically destroying Michael Corinthos’s alibi and positioning him as the real shooter.

The moral crisis is real, folks. Alexis told Diane her gut is telling her the jury might acquit Willow — and if that happens, Michael becomes the obvious next target. She’s motivated by protecting her granddaughter Scout (Sam’s daughter, in case anyone forgot that devastating family connection), but at what cost?

Diane warned her that sabotaging the defense could mean disbarment and a mistrial. But here’s the thing — Alexis delivered those closing arguments anyway. She’s in too deep to turn back now.

The Evidence Against Michael Is Piling Up

Let’s talk about how we got here. Alexis shifted her entire defense strategy on January 2 to focus suspicion on Michael. Her stated goal? Prove his alibi was a lie and place him at Drew’s house the night of the shooting.

And the evidence started falling into place. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) — Michael’s own brother — confirmed in court that Michael’s alibi had NOT been fully scrutinized. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) admitted she saw Michael the night of the shooting. Witness testimony from Jacinda Bracken complicated his timeline even further.

Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) figured out the REAL truth. They pieced together what they heard the night Drew was shot, including a distinct ringtone detail, and concluded Willow was the shooter. They brought this information directly to Alexis.

She KNOWS. And she’s proceeding anyway.

Willow’s Mask Is Slipping

Want to know what makes this whole situation even more infuriating? Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) is playing the grateful, innocent victim in the courtroom while privately fantasizing about Michael going to prison.

That’s right. In the courthouse halls, Willow expressed satisfaction — actual SATISFACTION — at the idea of Michael being convicted. She’s not just hoping for an acquittal. She’s hoping her freedom comes at Michael’s expense. The sweet and innocent act? It’s exactly that. An act.

And Sonny Corinthos is watching all of this unfold, powerless to stop it. The question isn’t whether he’s furious — it’s who he’s going to take that fury out on.

Someone Is Going to Pay

Here’s what my gut tells me. Sonny confronting Alexis about this defense strategy isn’t just plausible — it feels inevitable. She put his SON in the crosshairs. She knows Willow is guilty. And she’s letting the chips fall where they may because… what? Legal ethics? Scout’s safety? Her own crisis of conscience?

None of those reasons are going to matter to Sonny when he’s standing in her office demanding answers.

Could this mean Sonny Corinthos is ready to sacrifice an ally to protect his family? Don’t be surprised if that’s exactly where we’re headed. This is a man who has burned bridges before when his blood was threatened. Alexis may have thought she was navigating an impossible situation, but she underestimated how far Sonny will go.

The verdict is coming this week. And whatever happens next, Port Charles will NEVER be the same.

Once upon a time in PC I would have gone along with Sonny’s Somebody Is Going To Pay” but now Sonny doesn’t have the same presence he once did. Still patiently waiting for Sonny to take care of Sidwell.
