Young and Restless Spoilers: Sally Spectra Calls Out Audra’s Dangerous Kyle Fixation
Audra Charles insists she isn’t obsessed with Kyle Abbott on Y&R’s Dec 16 episode, but her actions tell a different story. Sally warns the fixation could destroy Audra’s career opportunity at Abbott Communications.

AUDRA CHARLES CLAIMS SHE ISN’T FIXATED ON KYLE ABBOTT — WHILE LITERALLY PLOTTING HIS DOWNFALL
TL;DR: On The Young and the Restless’ December 16 episode, Audra Charles insists to Sally Spectra that she isn’t obsessed with Kyle Abbott while simultaneously vowing revenge against him and Claire Grace Newman. Sally warns that Audra’s transparent fixation could destroy her career opportunity at Abbott Communications, especially with secret investor Jill Abbott ready to make hiring decisions.
Let’s talk about denial, shall we?
Because Audra Charles just gave a MASTERCLASS in it during Monday’s episode. The woman spent the entire hour at Society insisting — repeatedly, emphatically, almost desperately — that she is NOT obsessed with Kyle Abbott. Then, in the very next breath, she launched into yet another tirade about how Kyle “destroyed her life” and how he’s “revolting” and how she wants him and Claire to “get what’s coming to them.”
Sally Spectra, bless her heart, tried to be the voice of reason. She pointed out what literally EVERYONE watching can see: Audra’s fixation on Kyle is becoming a dangerous liability. And not just emotionally dangerous — we’re talking career-ending dangerous.
WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON WITH AUDRA CHARLES?
Here’s the thing. Audra has been fired from Newman Enterprises. She’s lost Nate. She’s burned bridges with Holden, who used to be her closest ally. The woman is essentially persona non grata in Genoa City right now, clinging to one last lifeline: a potential position at Abbott Communications.
Sally arranged a meeting with the secret investor — and let’s be real, we all know it’s Jill Abbott. This is Audra’s chance at professional redemption. ONE shot to prove she can act like a functional adult human being instead of someone spiraling into a revenge-fueled breakdown.
And what does Audra do? She sits there telling Sally she doesn’t care about Kyle while CLEARLY caring SO MUCH about Kyle that she cannot complete a single sentence without bringing him up!
Sally called it “enemies-to-lovers energy.” I call it self-sabotage on an Olympic level.
THE PHYSICAL ALTERCATION NOBODY CAN FORGET
Let’s not gloss over the elephant in the room: Audra SLAPPED Claire Grace Newman. Just walked up and slapped Victor Newman’s granddaughter like they were in some kind of soap opera catfight. (Wait…)
Claire, being Claire, grabbed Audra by the throat and made it crystal clear that if Audra wants to play that game, she’s going to lose. Badly.
Now Audra’s running around town ranting about “brat cake” Claire while simultaneously claiming she’s moved on. Moved on? MOVED ON?!
Holden tried warning her. He flat-out told Audra she hasn’t hit rock bottom yet and that messing with Claire — who happens to be dating Kyle AND is Victor’s beloved granddaughter — is a spectacularly bad idea. Did Audra listen? Of course not.
SALLY’S WARNING FALLS ON DEAF EARS
Sally tried. She really did.
She explained to Audra that Jill Abbott is not going to appreciate hiring someone who’s actively feuding with Kyle Abbott and physically assaulting other members of the Abbott-Newman circle. She pointed out that this vendetta could cost Audra the ONE opportunity she has left to rebuild her career.
Audra’s response? More denial. More insistence that she’s “not obsessed.” More vows of revenge.
It’s like watching someone deliberately drive off a cliff while insisting they’re just taking a scenic route.
KYLE AND CLAIRE TEAM UP
Meanwhile, over at Crimson Lights, Kyle and Claire are having very different conversations. They’re not obsessing over Audra. They’re STRATEGIZING against her.
Kyle confided in Claire about Victor’s attack on Jabot using Cane’s AI program. They discussed the nightmare Jack is facing with the company shutdown. And yes, they acknowledged that they haven’t forgotten about their plan to deal with Audra.
But here’s the difference: Kyle and Claire are treating Audra like a problem to be solved, not the center of their universe. They’re focused on protecting their relationship, defending Jabot, and living their actual lives. Audra just happens to be an annoying obstacle in their path.
That’s what moving on actually looks like, Audra. Take notes.
THE JILL ABBOTT WILDCARD
So here we are. Audra has a meeting coming up with Jill Abbott — a woman who historically cannot STAND her. This is the moment where Audra needs to prove she can be professional, competent, and stable.
Can she do it? Can she sit in a room with Jill and NOT mention her seething hatred for Kyle? Can she focus on business instead of revenge?
Sally seems to think there’s a chance. She’s coaching Audra, trying to get her ready for this crucial meeting. But Sally also knows — as we ALL know — that Audra is one angry impulse away from blowing the whole thing.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT FOR AUDRA CHARLES?
Spoilers for later this week confirm that Kyle and Claire will formally solidify their alliance against Audra. They’re not playing games anymore. They’re done.
Audra, meanwhile, is walking into that investor meeting carrying enough baggage to sink the Titanic. Her hatred for Kyle is written all over her face. Her vendetta against Claire is public knowledge after that choking incident. And her denial about the whole situation? Transparent as glass.
Sally warned her. Holden warned her. Even LILY took shots at her for losing yet another job. But Audra keeps insisting she’s moved on while proving with every word out of her mouth that she absolutely has not.
This isn’t going to end well. Whether it’s the meeting with Jill going sideways, or Kyle and Claire uncovering something damaging about Audra’s past in LA, or Audra simply imploding from her own toxic obsession — something’s got to give.
And when it does? Don’t say Sally didn’t warn her.
