VICTORIA NEWMAN AND KYLE ABBOTT MAY TRY TO COOL IT JUST AS THE NEW WRITERS TAKE OVER

TL;DR: Young and the Restless spoilers: Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott may try to cool things down the week of Nov 9, the week new co-head writers Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor take over. Does the pause end their secret affair? Their record says no, and a sudden chill right after Victor and Jack start asking questions could set them up to get caught.

Victoria and Kyle’s Cooling Off Lands in the New Writers’ First Week

Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott may try to cool things down the week of Nov 9, according to circulating Young and the Restless spoilers. It is the same week co-head writers Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor take over, with their first episode airing Wednesday, Nov 11. So does the new team’s first week end the affair?

Don’t bet on it. These two have hit the brakes before, and the brakes have failed every single time. A sudden chill right after Victor Newman and Jack Abbott start asking questions looks less like a goodbye and more like two people with something to hide. Reading between the lines, this pause is a setup, not a breakup.

One note on the tease: it comes from a single spoiler report, reworded almost line for line by a second, and both versions say the try may not work out. Nothing official covers the week of Nov 9 yet. The same chatter had them failing to stay apart this week, too. The doubts have been building since Victoria’s ex-husband, Billy Abbott, who is also Kyle’s uncle, crashed their London trip.

Every Time Victoria Newman and Kyle Promised to Stop

The affair began on Aug 27 in Jack’s office at Jabot, and the exit plan came built in. Michael Mealor, who plays Kyle, said in an August interview that it was supposed to be “a one-time thing,” then “Just one more time, to make sure it was a total fluke.” You know how that went.

On Oct 2, after a nightmare about her father, Victoria tried to walk away, saying feelings were never part of their contract. Kyle pulled her into a hug. On Oct 12, after an accidental all-nighter, the vow was “This can never ever happen again!” It turned into a new rule, no overnights, not a goodbye.

London only raised the stakes. Victor sent Victoria there to finish a deal, Kyle followed with a cover story, and on Oct 27 she left Kyle out on the balcony while Billy took his sweet time leaving. On Oct 29, Kyle suggested they rethink their Paris plans, reportedly the next stop, and Victoria said she was tired of playing it safe. One day later, she was the one calling a trip together “tempting fate.”

Do Victoria and Kyle Break Up on Young and the Restless?

Not yet, and maybe not at all. On Friday, Oct 30, Billy dropped by Victoria’s London apartment while Kyle hid down the hall. On his way out, Billy asked, “Did you know he was in London?” and wondered if Kyle was there to sabotage Vibrante. Victoria said she was there on Newman business.

Once Billy was gone, the truth came out fast: “I hate this.” “Me too.” Then came the big one: “Do you think it’s time that we end this?” Nobody answered. They held each other instead, and that hug said more than any promise could.

Victoria Newman has wavered before and kept coming back, and a November preview says she is second-guessing where things stand with Kyle. When we asked our readers whether the two should go public, the replies split hard. Plenty said they’re both adults. Just as many said end it right now, and Victor’s reaction became the running joke. One reader said that last hug says it all and any split would be temporary.

Victor and Jack Start Digging Right Before the Pause

The week before the cooling off belongs to the fathers. Per this week’s official teasers, Victor gives Victoria “the third degree” on Wednesday, Nov 4, and Jack “backs Kyle into a corner” on Thursday, Nov 5. Photos for this week also show Kyle bumping into Victoria while her mother, Nikki Newman, is with her. What either father learns hasn’t been revealed.

Now picture the week after. Two lovers who suddenly keep their distance, right after both fathers start digging, look exactly like two people with something to hide. And the person it would hurt most, Victoria’s daughter and Kyle’s ex, Claire Newman, still has no idea.

If I know soap writers, a new team doesn’t inherit a red hot secret just to switch it off. My gut tells me Victoria Newman and Kyle cool it for a few days at most, and that is exactly when somebody starts noticing.

Keep up with Victoria, Kyle and the new writers’ first week in the full two weeks of Young and the Restless spoilers.

Victoria and Kyle’s Pause Is a Setup, Not a Breakup

My prediction: the new writers’ first week doesn’t end this affair. It resets the clock on getting caught. A one-time thing became one more time, and “never ever” became a house rule. They even traded sides on Paris in a single day.
