JOHN FINNEGAN HEARD THE HEARTBEAT TOO EARLY, AND CARTER STILL HAS NO DOCTOR TO BACK THE SURROGACY STORY

TL;DR: Spoilers say John Finnegan calms Steffy on Wednesday before she blindsides Ridge and Taylor with her surrogacy news, and on Thursday her parents demand answers as the truth begins to unravel. Carter, meanwhile, still has no doctor to back the story.

Wednesday, Finn Steadies Steffy Before the Bombshell

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have Ridge and Taylor demanding answers on Thursday, November 5, and it starts the day before. On Wednesday, John Finnegan tries to calm the growing fears of his wife, Steffy Forrester Finnegan. Then she tells Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes that she is carrying a baby for Carter Walton and Daphne Rose Walton, and her parents are blindsided.

That is all they hear. Not one preview has Ridge or Taylor learning about the August night Steffy spent with Carter, the night she believes made this baby. They get the surrogacy story, the same one Finn got on October 19, and they get it with Finn standing right beside her.

Finn earned that spot on Tuesday. He admitted he is still processing it, promised to help carry her through this and said her family would too. But he let one more thing slip in the same scene: he was surprised they could hear the heartbeat so early. Hold on to that.

Thursday, Her Parents Want the Whole Story

On Thursday, Ridge and Taylor demand answers as the truth begins to unravel, and Taylor pushes Steffy to come clean. Taylor is a psychiatrist who has been asking what is wrong with her daughter since late August. She will want to know why Steffy said yes, why now, and why John Finnegan, the husband who once said no, is suddenly on board.

Ridge has his own target. This week’s promo has him calling Carter, his best friend and Forrester’s chief operating officer, and ordering him over to Steffy’s place. No preview pins that call to Wednesday or Thursday, so it may wait until Friday, when Carter and Steffy end the week under major pressure. We broke down why Ridge is gunning for Carter last week.

John Finnegan, Steffy Forrester Finnegan and Li Finnegan on Bold and the Beautiful

Does Carter Find a Shady Doctor to Back Steffy’s Surrogacy on Bold and the Beautiful?

Not yet. Spoiler chatter has said for weeks that Carter will need a doctor willing to back the surrogacy story, and the newest buzz pushes that hire later into November. No doctor has ever appeared on screen, and none is on the schedule for Wednesday or Thursday.

Carter already tried once. On October 22 he asked for an outside doctor to run the pregnancy test, and Finn said no. Li Finnegan, the mother who raised Finn, drew the blood instead.

The next day Li heard a heartbeat she thought was too early to catch and said “Wow!” Now John Finnegan has said nearly the same thing out loud. That is two doctors in one family who have noticed, which is exactly why Carter’s hunt for a doctor matters so much.

Here is what any doctor would have to sign. By the cover story, Steffy is about seven and a half weeks along this week. By the August night, she is closer to thirteen and a half. Nobody can sign that chart without lying, and Carter still hasn’t found anyone willing to.

The Unraveling Is Math, Not a Confession

Thursday’s tease says the truth begins to unravel, but none of the spoilers have Steffy confessing anything. Friday still finds her and Carter under pressure, so the secret survives the week. If I know these writers, the cracks come from the calendar and the medicine, the stuff Steffy can’t control.

That puts Finn in a terrible spot. He said no to the surrogacy on September 23 and left town for a medical conference, and the procedure supposedly happened while he was gone. Taylor is pushing to get the truth out of Steffy, and Finn is defending a story he already doubted once. My gut tells me John Finnegan is the one who finally connects his own heartbeat comment to Taylor’s questions.

Carter Walton, Steffy Forrester Finnegan and Daphne Rose Walton on Bold and the Beautiful

Who cracks Steffy’s story first: Taylor, Finn or a doctor Carter can’t find? Make your case in the comments.

Finn’s Own Words Are the Biggest Threat to Steffy’s Story

Ridge and Taylor will grill her, and Carter will sweat. But the most dangerous line this week already aired on Tuesday, when Finn said he was surprised the heartbeat came so early. Steffy can dodge her parents. It is harder to dodge a husband who is also a doctor.

We say Taylor pushes and Steffy holds, for now, while Carter scrambles for a doctor he doesn’t have. Will Finn put the pieces together before Taylor does? Tell us on our Facebook page.
